Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply compatible with Intel Core i7 and Core i5

Customer Review: Power
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this a few months ago so I can SLI two video cards. I have a mid-tower case, and there is almost too much cord for it. It runs quiet and I have had not problems with it. It was on sale for $80 when I got it and am happy with it.

I like the connectors, they give you something to grab onto. I also noticed the sata connections seem tight, on my old power supply they were loose and sloppy and you'd have to be careful you dint unplug a drive by accident.

I am pleased enough that I am considering buying corsair SLI memory.

Customer Review: Outstanding
Summary: 5 Stars

Power Supply was very well presented in a black Corsair bag, in poly cushions, in sturdy packaging. Documentation was complete and installation a snap. Runs quietly while moving plenty of air (little heat at ~400W load).
Corsair is obviously proud of this product. Frankly so am I; who knew a power supply could be cool?
I should have gone modular; this PS has a plethora of connectors, all sheathed nicely, but tend to eat up space unless you can tuck them away. I will purchase another Corsair even if it costs a little more... impressive.

Customer Review: Good quality PSU for an affordable price.
Summary: 5 Stars

You can tell this PSU was built with quality in mind by opening up the box. I have read and seen internal component reviews on this PSU and they are good, and rated great for the price and quality of the components. If you have a pci-express card and game, plus have a few hard drives, you really should not limit your system by buying a smaller PSU. Get this and you won't have to worry about buying a psu that might limit you in your future. The way the fan/cooling is setup I really like on this psu. It is also very quiet. I recommend this psu.

Customer Review: Works well, stays quiet, low power consumption at idle
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this power supply with a Core i7 system on an Intel X58SO motherboard, a dual slot Nvidia 8800GTS and every PCI slot filled, 3 DVD burners, 2 video cards running 3 22" monitors. I draw about as much power as possible from this power supply, and it works just fine.

It's very quiet and has been completely reliable for me. I don't know why, but the thing doesn't hold dust like previous power supplies I've used. Overall, completely satisfied and definitely recommend this model for purchase and long term use.

Customer Review: POWER...
Summary: 5 Stars

Puntos Fuertes: 750 watts, large 140mm fan, good value

Puntos Débiles: Not modular, maybe too many cables for some people's use.

Resumen: Corsair may be known for its memory but they also make great power supplies. 750 watts is good enough for the vast majority of users, and having 1 big rail instead of 2 smaller ones increases efficiency. The amount and length of cables was almost too much for the Antec P180 Mini case I used it in, but with a bit of organizing it's manageable.
