Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply compatible with Intel Core i7 and Core i5Customer Review: Best PSU ive ever owned Summary: 5 Stars
I was putting together a phenom II build last year and my local brick and mortar was having a sale on a Cooler Master 500w power supply. It was around 35 dollars which was a steal for that kinda power so naturally I picked it up looking to save a couple bucks. After installing all components, the system was good to go so I booted up. Nothing. Silence. No fans buzzed, no drives booted. As I'm sure you guessed the cooler master was doa. After returning the cooler master I went with a more sound investment. I sucked it up and paid the extra money and I couldnt be happier. Right out of the box the Corsair 750w was impressive. Heavy, solid, beautiful black matte finish (orange text sets it off as well). Even the cables are wrapped in black nylon. And about the cables. There are more than you will ever need. Four 6 pins so any Sli/Crossfire setup you throw at it is no problem. I stopped counting the SATA connectors, there were so many. Sits in the case beautifully and is always cool to the touch. Buy this PSU.
Customer Review: Elite PSU Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic power supply. It gets the job done! My rig uses SLI GTX 460s and this handles it wonderfully. I am really surprised by how well it has been performing in even the harsh conditions I live in. It is usually very hot in the where I live and this just keeps on trucking. In addition to the given GPU, I run an i7 950 and this performs just as great. It is really kind of ridiculous what this can do. I can run max settings all my games and thanks to this psu it is a dream come true. In addition to its capabilities, it does the job done while being very quiet. Most of the time I can't tell it is on have to check if it is even on! One of the most silent pSUs I have ever had the experience to own. I managed to pick one of these up for 80 during the holidays, but even at 100 this is a great psu that will certainly get the job done and then some! if you want to make sure you have the power to run all of your high end components, do not fret and jump on this corsair CMPSU 750!
Customer Review: Satisfied Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this about a year ago to replace a reliable Antec 550 PS. I was getting dangerously close to overloading the older PS and it would start whining and crying. I don't have that problem with this new Power Supply. It's a nice companion to my quiet Antec P180 silent case since it hardly makes any noise since it doesn't seem to stress out at all.
The hardware I use with it is as follows:
Intel Q9550 with crappy stock heatsink
Evga GeForce GTX275 896MB driving Acer X243W LCD
Kingston valueram 800mhz ddr2 8GB
Intel DP35DP motherboard
SB X-Fi Xtremegamer
LG GBC-H20L blu-ray burner
150GB and 74GB raptor drive
2x1500GB seagate sata drives
2TB WD sata
P180 silent case with Corsair 750TX
Only thing I can complain about is that it's not modular but since I'm making use of all the power connections I can't really complain. Besides you can pay a little more to get the modular version.
Customer Review: Late review... Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this Power supply in July, and used it in a older computer of mine. I had plans to switch it to my new computer once I had accumulated all the parts for it. Near the beginning of October though, the supply died. It just stopped working, went through corsairs checking procedure (paper-clip test), and still nothing. I contacted them, and received return information and sent it in. It costed me another $14, which I was annoyed at, but what could I do? I spent over a hundred dollars and wanted it fixed.
So i guess I was just unlucky, Corsair sent me a new supply about a week after they received it. Although I would of liked to of known what was wrong with the original one, I've currently been using the new one for a month and a half with no problems at all. I blame my broken supply on bad luck, Corsairs promptness with replacing it made me satisfied with their products and services. These things happen. I would defiantly buy it again.
Customer Review: Fine so far Summary: 5 Stars
I got this to replace what I thought was a dying Fortron PSU, but it turned out my motherboard was the problem. I really haven't had too much opportunity to put it through its paces, but it worked well the few weeks I used it.
It's big...bigger than the 550w I replaced. It barely fit in my ATX case. 4 PCI-E plugs is a good thing...makes it a little more future-resistant. It's very quiet...not silent, but quiet.
Fit and finish are excellent. Engineering, build and materials appear to be top notch. The only thing that would improve this PSU is modular cables, but a few zipties and some strategy and it's not an issue. Just be prepared to use a good slice of case space for the extra cabling. If you're cramming as it is, this may not be your PSU. Hey, at least short cables won't be an issue.
Super quick shipping.
This is how Amazon should be!
