Customer Review: Works great for Wide Gamut Monitors

The Spyder3 is in a different league that the Spyder2 (not to mention the HORRIBLE original Spyder and Huey). The colorimeter is remarkable accurate when I tested it agains known targets and the large aparature measures great at low levels. Unlike other reviewers I've had no trouble with the software or the drivers (3.07) on Vista Home Premium. I guess they've sorted out the bugs, I have only my personal experience to go by.
The Elite software has afforded me the opportunity to calibrate to my own targets based on my lighting at my desk and photos on my monitor compare well against printed versions (I used the Elite software's target black and white limenance to get that right).
I have a Wide Gamut LCD (AdobeRGB LCD) and for the first time I have great looking pictures inside color managed applications (Capture NX2, Photoshop, GIMP, Windows Picture Gallery, etc.). Outside of color managed apps windows is unfortunately not color managed (unlike OS X) so pictures are oversaturated (too much red), but that is a problem with windows color management NOT the colorimeter.
