Solid little flatscreen TV.
We use it in the kitchen and have it on a swing-up mount for convenience.
Picture is not very customizable. A little over-saturated. Viewing angle is not great. We are constantly reaching over and readjusting it as we move around the kitchen counter and from stove to sink if we want to see what is on in its best quality.
The sound is ok. Plenty of volume, but not very good in the bass department (duh).
We have no over air signals in our valley, so only hooked up to analog cable. Picks up the qam signals - a plus. Haven't tried it with any other input sources.
We have had none of the performance problems that others have written about.
The only real problem is that as small as the screen is, most of the time the picture doesn't take advantage of the available real estate.
I'm looking forward to a future replacement that has much less bezel, more picture control, more aspect options, etc. Till then, this is just fine.

Now that I finally found a place where my old indoor antenna will pick up an adequate DTV signal, the channels I get on this Coby TV come in vivid color and good sound. This small screen TV fits perfect on my computer desk. I haven't yet made all the possible adjustments to the picture that may improve and sharpen the "out of the box" video settings. I'm watching a 2-woman beach volleyball match now, and not only are the participants sharply in focus, but the faces of the people in the stands are very sharp and clear in background shots, as well. I'm really impressed and the picture quality is beyond my expectations. I'm ordering a new DTV antenna in the hopes of picking up many more channels.Customer Review: Great Picture on this small set

After I bought this TV online I read the reviews and was a bit anxious about the product; but, I'm actually very pleased. This TV has a wonderful clear picture with great color. I connected it to a standard antenna at first and received all of my local channels with an excellent picture on all. I then connected it to my cable and was thrilled at the clarity and sharpness of the pictures. The set displays the HD channels so clearly. I'm using this TV in my office on relatively low volume; so, the tinny sound of the speakers at a higher volume is not a problem for me. I would definately buy this product again.Customer Review: Very nice small digital tv.

I bought the Coby 1022 to fill a void created by the switch to DTV. I found the 1022 while searching for a Portable DTV. What I did to use it as a semi-portable DTV was to buy a Coby BP-420 rechargeable battery and use it in times of power outages. It will power the TV for over 2 hours of times with no AC.
It gets a lot of DTV stations(more than my Sony XBR-2 does and both are connected to the same outside antenna).
It was one of the lowest cost methods to fill the void. I really like the looks of the unit too, Would buy again!
