Like the lead reviewer says, I can't believe this is the same company that sold poor qual tape decks in 1989. I love it. It looks great and came with more accessories than you can shake a stick at. As my headline says, we have dropped it (at least) twice. The second time was off the kitchen table onto the parquet. Amazingly, there is no perceptible change in the device. The only thing that happened was that a tiny tab broke off. It was a rather important tab - it told the player that it was closed. But I jammed a plastic bead into the slot, and now it thinks its always closed. Another plus: the battery still routinely gives us two-three hours.Customer Review: Incredible value--I was impressed (and surprised)

I would have normally not purchased a Coby DVD player as I've stuck with brands I've used before (I love my Panasonic, but it was MUCH more expensive). For a road trip I wanted separate DVD players for my kids and these were great. In addition to being able to watch movies in the car, you can also use the portable stand and use throughout the house.
The image was impressive and for what was included (2 headphones, car jack, headrest case, remote and RCA connectors), this is an incredible bargain.
For $106.99, no sales tax, and no shipping fee for Amazon Prime, you cannot go wrong.

Great portable dvd player, I have owned it for 1 year, my kid loves it. It comes with the holding case for the head rest in the car, it also has a device in the back that allows to place it on a table like a picture frame, so you can take it every where. It comes with 2 sets of headphones, rechargeable battery, AC chager and DC car charger. The spound is very good, the image quality is excellent. Also comes with remote control. Plays all dvd zones, and most of the popular formats. I think is more confortable to use that those that look like laptops. I recommend it to everyone with kids that travels a lot.Customer Review: well pleased

this is my 1st player and I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I read many reviews and it seemed like those that bought one were happy with it, so I decided to try it. The picture is great and the sound is also great. We took it for a car ride down some bumpy roads and had no problem with it. It seems to have all the accessories that I need anyway. I haven't tried it on the tv. It has a cd/cassette adaptor for the car, which I didn't really know what it was for. My son in law had to explain it to me. I received it in 2 days which was a surprise. All in all I'm very happy with it.Customer Review: Great entertainment - Long drive

After checking many sources for good quality vs reasonable cost, we decided this DVD (Colby) portable player would meet the need to keep a 2 1/2 year old & 8 1/2 year old occupied for most of a 7 1/2 hour ride from Sacramento to Newport Beach. The holder on the back of right front seat was great. Even their mom could see screen all the way across from far left seat. Sound was good, using the included 2 headsets + a purchased splitter & additional headset so mom could listen in also.
The 8 1/2 yr old easily figured out how to change the DVD when she wanted to see different DVD.
