Bought this CD Player to be used with a cassett adapter in my truck. Product works well and sounds great, however, everytime the unit is moved, it skips with several seconds lost to restart playing. As long as you can sit it on something solid it workd good, so in a vehicle this is not a device for you. Everytime I hit a bump in the road, the track would skip, no matter what position I put it in. Even walking with it, or moving it, makes it skip. If your going to place it on a table or a desk and not touch it, it works great.Customer Review: I like this....

The Coby Cd player plays instantly even without stereo headphones. I love how the look and the feel has from today's cd players. The one big gripe I have is that when the batteries run low sometimes, it cuts itself off. That isn't right, but still, it's a good looking CD player to get for your money.Customer Review: Respectable CD Player

This product broke for us after 3 months of use, right after the limited warranty ran out. Still we just ordered another one because it works very well for our purposes and is so cheap at $12. Our 4-year old likes to listen to music or stories on CD as she falls asleep at night. She was able to use this CD player very easily on her own. We considered buying her a small ipod nano but they are over $100 so replacing the broken CD player is far cheaper, even if we replace it multiple times. We also like having the control of her just listening to one CD at a time and not flipping through different songs or stories. She used it every day for the three months of its short life so perhaps we did get our money's worth, although I would have liked it to last longer.Customer Review: COBY CX-CD109 BLK

You may end up having to purchase another model, I did. I suppose it's alright for a low cost effort to listen to music, yet it's still very jittery and the music itself becomes hard to listen to because of that. Much depends on the purchasers' interests and love of music.
