Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Coby Electronic PORTABLE CD PLAYER ( CXCD109 )

Customer Review: Average
Summary: 3 Stars

You get what you pay for, its cheap and thus very basic. Only power source accepted is batteries. Other than that plays well and sounds good, headphones are alright also.

Customer Review: If you want a temporary thing then this'll do
Summary: 2 Stars

With no mode settings(repeat, shuffle, etc) or shock protection, this cd player is pretty undesirable, but if you're just looking for something to hold you over then this'll do. It has all the basic features of a cd player of course and it works alright. It could be with just mine, but every pair of headphones, new and old, that I use with it, the left begins to malfunction although when using those same headphones in another cd player or speakers, they work fine. Like I said, if you just want a temporary thing then I guess this is good for you.

Customer Review: No choices
Summary: 2 Stars

I thought this item came with or you had a choice of color. It did not. It is silver with black trim. It is also not very portible, you have to play it while its sitting on a flat, level surface.

Customer Review: Good cd player but not great
Summary: 2 Stars

was told when i purchased the cd player that it had non-skip capility but it does not and skips all over the place when it is bumped, so you have to play it on a surface that does not move.

Customer Review: Works for under 5 minutes at a time
Summary: 1 Stars

It skips at every little movement, but that is expected with a cheap player like this.

However, even sitting on a table (no bumps to cause skipping) it would freeze after two to three minutes of usage, and I would have to pop it open, close it and then try to get back to the spot I left off. Two minutes of listening later, same problem would happen again. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and tried a few different clean CDs, same problem. Hopefully someone at salvation army won't mind.
