Unit boasts large speakers. The sound is above average, although there isn't much bass. A traditional analog (nondigital) tuner makes it easier to change stations or to scan stations quickly. One drawback is that the unit does not play MP3 files burned to a CD. Contains a built-in microphone for tape, which is a virtual rarity these days. The draw of the unit is it's crystal clear sound, although I would prefer just a bit more bass.Customer Review: wonderful radio

i purchased the radio for myself while deployed to iraq to listen to my music. the radio works ans sound great. it has everything you need while being deployed to hear music. the radio is in good condition for being used. i do not mind that it was used because it is still in good condition. the only thing that confused me was that it had a external antenna line in the package but the radio had a antenna. overall it works good. thank you
