Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo EarphonesCustomer Review: As good as earbuds 4 times the price! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a previous lover of Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds, but I'm never going back, as long as these Coby's turn out to last a long time. The Ink'd earbuds only last about 5 or 6 months, which is a long time...but not when you're spending that much, I don't think. They are very effective at blocking out sound, so good that I have to keep taking them out of my ears to make sure my mom or siblings aren't calling for me. But if you don't mind periodically taking them out of your ears to check if you're missing anything, then these are great headphones! They are super comfortable, too. Others make your ear itch or sore, but these fit in just as far as they need to to be effective, no more. And the one-size-fits-all rubber tip is great, because it's glued in so that you can't accidentally knock it off, like I do with other earbuds.
Plus, for 5.00's are you going to find a better deal? I think not. Even if I do have to replace them in a few weeks or months, they are still a better deal then half the headphones out there. Buy 'em, you won't be disappointed!
Customer Review: Everything positive Summary: 5 Stars
If you are an iPod owner, these are the perfect item to add to your shopping card to get your order above the free shipping limit.
I got a set for $4.99, with a special offer for $5 credit on Amazon digital music downloads. If these earbuds were mediocre, the deal would not be worth the effort. However, I found this product to be excellent.
First, they sound very good. Certainly not the best I've heard, but they sound better than the stock iPod earbuds that cost $29 to replace. They are the in-ear design, so they block out external noise better and sit closer to your ear drums, which makes them sound better. The sound is "warm" and full, not overly bass-focused or shrill. They just sound really good and pleasant to me.
Second, they look good. They are mostly white, so they look good with iPods. They may even get mistaken for Apple's new $79 in-ear earbuds.
Third, you won't be paranoid using them when you do stuff like exercise. Hey, they cost me $5. And I bought three more...
Customer Review: Great Headphones Summary: 5 Stars
I've had them for a few weeks now and I've got to say that these are some of the best headphones that I have ever had. They're very comfortable and have a snug fit that makes it a little harder for them to be accidentally pulled out or just fall out randomly on their own (which I've had happen with many other headphones). They also provide good, clear sound quality with some decent(not incredible though) bass. As for the 'isolation' feature, I didn't want true sound cancellation headphones because I walk and ride the bus often and use these the entire time. These will NOT block out all sound, they let you listen to the music while still being able to hear some of what's happening around you. The only real con I've found with these is that since they block out much of the low-level ambient noise, you do sometimes get scratching sounds from the cord brushing up against clothing and the amplified sound of your own steps on concrete. This seems to be a very quality, sturdy product so far though, I'd recommend it :)
Customer Review: strong cord, sound is perfectly fine if you're not an audiophile Summary: 5 Stars
I've had these headphones for 5 months and they haven't broken yet-- a record for me!
I like to wrap my headphone cord around my mp3 player when I store it, which causes it to break pretty quickly in the spot where it connects to the jack. I had two pairs of $30 headphones break on me within 2 months each.
so this time I decided to:
a: go really cheap, since they will eventually break anyway :)
b: choose something with an "L" shaped jack (when you wrap the cord around the mp3 player, it doesn't get bent as badly.)
as for the sound quality: I'm no audiophile, I'm not picky about perfect sound. I mainly listen to podcasts, so I need noise reducing headphones-- otherwise I can hardly hear the words when I'm walking around my noisy city. these coby headphones are perfect for that, without having to turn the volume all the way up. but they are not noise cancelling -- if a person is trying to get my attention, I'll hear them.
these are perfect for me!
Customer Review: I LOVE these earphones! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my ipod for about 3 years. I had to replace the original earphones that came with the ipod because the end of the wire became frayed. I often wear the ipod at the gym and I accidentally pull on the wire and break it-I have gone through two sets of the cheap 99cent earphones but upgrading to this $5 pair was WELL worth it. The portion of the wire that enters the ipod is reinforced and less likely to be frayed-I pulled on it when it got caught on a piece of gym equipment yesterday and it didn't break! The earphones also fit very snugly and comfortably in my ears. What a difference a few dollars of investment makes! You can also get free shipping if you have an order that is equal to or above $25. What a deal! If you go to Best Buy the 99 cent pair are at least $20 so this pair is a real bargain and will likely last you a while and manage through the wear and tear at the gym! Oh and don't let the whole "bass" verbiage scare you-very good sound and not booming bass in your ears at all.
