We purchased this item for use in our kid's room, mostly for night time background music. It works great out of the box and plays back with the ability to repeat one CD track or the entire CD. We've been playing CDs about 11 hours per day for the past month and it continues to play well. It provides good low-volume sound in an average size bedroom. I needed something that could handle being in a toddler's room, and that if broken, would not rattle my chain. It's just great. Great sound, easy to carry around if needed (on battery) and small enough to put on the end table. My only con would be the volume and change channel buttons are not so easy to see from the front, would be MUCH better to have those things on the top.Customer Review: Great litle player for the money

I bought my coby cd player over 3 years ago and it is still going strong. I am not sure about some of the other reviews, but I am still very pleased with mine. I have had it in 2 offices, with constant use by myself and teens, and now its resting place is in my bedroom where I use it at night. I purchased six units for our church education department and was greatly surprised. The sound quality was very good, radio reception excellent and the overall quality for the price should be rated a good buy. All the teachers find it easy to use and the controls are user friendly, although CD loading is a bit cramped, but once learned it's no problem.Customer Review: Lots of BoomBox for the Buck!

I use this CD player with AM/FM Radio primarily to play an exercise CD. The clarity of the sound at medium to high volume is responsible for burning off at least an extra 100 calories! I was pleasantly surprised by the easy to carry weight and size. It is about the size of a small water melon. The radio plays fine. It came with a separate cord.
