Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cheetah Mounts Plasma LCD Flat Screen TV Articulating Full Motion Dual Arm Wall Mount Bracket For 32-65" Displays Up To 165LBS Black With 10' High Speed HDMI Cable With Ethernet Fits Up To 24" StudsCustomer Review: Performs as designed/described Summary: 5 Stars
Overall, I find this mount an excellent value. The mount is made of very heavy material, and functions exactly as described. There should be no problem with the weight, as I used mine to mount a 55" Samsung. Other reviews rightfully indicated to ignore the self-leveling function, and I found this quite valuable. I used my own 18" level, flipping to guage the level at both ends of the mount. To the eye and using my own level, it was perfect. However, the built-in level indicated out-of-level significantly. Again, ignore this, and trust your own tools. Also, the small level enclosed in the package, while a nicety, is basically useless and inaccurate. The instructions are a little vague and slightly incomplete. All this said, the product is heavy, the included hardware is sufficient, and I got a rock-solid, level install. This mount was significantly less expensive than in-store items with comparable features. In the future, when mounting another television, I would gladly buy this product.
Customer Review: Rock-Solid Style Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this wall mount about a month ago, and found it so easy to install - and such a secure solution for our 42" LCD TV - that I had to add my voice to the chorus of praise for this item.
First of all, the shipping speed was exceptionally prompt, even using standard ground shipping. Once out of the box, I found the directions to be straightforward and thorough, resulting in an absolutely trouble-free installation. The mount itself is small enough that it cannot be seen when the TV is retracted against the wall. It is also clearly capable of handling the weight, as we usually watch the TV with the mount in the fully-extended position and have noticed no sagging or shifting. Upon first installation, the hinges were a bit stiff, but that has worked itself out with use. In summary, this is a first-quality wall mount at an extremely reasonable price.
We're now strongly considering another Cheetah purchase, this time of a component shelf with built-in cable management.
Customer Review: Cheetah Mounts are solid Summary: 5 Stars
This mount is fantastic. Installation is easy with the included hardware. I located my wall stubs and then was able to make sure the mount was level with the included bubble level and my own level. After we installed the mount, we did a few test by pulling up and down on the mount and it wouldn't move, I know my 50" Samsung Plasma is not going to fall ever. Once we got the TV up on the mount, we had to make some adjustments. The bracket that connects to the TV will slide up and down, you need to ensure that they are aligned or the TV will not be level on the mount and look odd. After some adjustments and tightening on the safety screw on the TV brackets, the TV looks great floating on the wall. I decided it was best to move the power up behind the mount and run the HDMI cable behind the wall. Extra work but this produces a clean look. The articulating arms are bit stiff, but I find that to be a position feature. Once you move the TV to the desired viewing angle the TV stays where you left it.
Customer Review: Great Mounting Bracket Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great mounting bracket. This is my second one; the first mounting a 42" LG LCD tv, and recently for a 32" LG LCD tv. Having mounted my second one, I can say this mount will handle ANY flat pannel tv on the market today. It is extremely sturdy. The folks at Cheetah really thought this thing out. Once mounted you can easily move the tv exactly how you want it; side to side, and an adequate amount of tilting. I also like the adjustability for leveling it once installed also. If I were to find a gripe it would be 2 things. First, while they say it will work for a 32", the mounting arms will stick up either above or below the set in order to line up the holes for mounting. The mounting bracket the tv hangs on is virtually the exact width of my 32" tv. While it still works and I'm happy with it, this is just an FYI. Also, the level that is mounted on the bracket and the plastic one they send with to mount are total junk. Use a good level and you'll be much happier...
Customer Review: Just a normal guy... Summary: 5 Stars
...who wanted to mount his new TV to the wall. (BTW, I have never reviewed anything on Amazon or another site but felt compelled to write this one.) The TV was going in the family room off the kitchen and figured I would get a swivel mount in order to view it from the kitchen. Didn't want to drop another $300 which would just add to the cost of the entire system. Saw this on Amazon, read some reviews and decided to order it. For all the haters out there, THIS MOUNT IS AWESOME, especially for the price. Yeah, the directions aren't too great but it's not like you're contructing a missile guidance system. It is STRONG and comes with all the hardware I needed and more.
The TV was up in 1 hour and look great.
Some Tips:
1) Be sure your studs are 16 inches
2) Invite a friend. Can't imagine doing this alone.
3) Invest or borrow a good stud finder.
4) We used a laser level.
Hope this helps!
