Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Chamberlain KLIK2U Clicker Keypad

Customer Review: It works
Summary: 5 Stars

I had some kind of rolling digital something or other door that I tried three different keypads on and nothing would work. So I called Chamberlain and was told all about the different codes and color of code buttons. There are four or more types out there and the others I tried only worked on the first three types. This one works on everything out there and they were right. It takes a little reading first and a key sequence to program it to your type of door, so don't loose the instructions, in case it ever needs reprogrammed.

AND BEST OF ALL IT WORKS ON A 9V BATTERY. You might not think thats a big deal but just try to find those little half size AAA 12V batteries. This alone was worth the price.

Speaking of PRICE, this thing lists for over $35 as was just to much for me....then I found this on Amazon for under $15 from "bigdoorguy". What a deal.

Customer Review: LiftMaster Professional Universal Wireless Keyless Entry
Summary: 5 Stars

This product will save you the frustration of being locked outside of the house and make entering your garage if you have been doing yard work and want access to it a snap. The unit is nice looking and comes with everything you will need (even the 9 volt battery) and the clearest set-up instructions I have ever read. In less than two minutes my key pad was programmed and working. It really does work on older model garage door openers. I was sure mine was going to be too old for it too work but LiftMaster proved they really do work on older models. It saved me from replacing my system and having to install a new one in order to have a keyless entry system. Many of my neighbors have them and I really wanted one. The price here on Amazon was HALF of what Lowes wanted, and that's even with expedited shipping.

Customer Review: Received LM 387, instead of KLIK2U
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered a Chamberlain KLIK2U Clicker Keypad, but received a Chamberlain LiftMaster Professional
model 387LM. The alternate model has worked fine so far; it programmed according to the
included directions, and installed easily. I have no idea why it is called "Professional", but that is
the sort of word that advertising copy writers and packaging specialists add to the materials
to make a product sound better. Andy Rooney pointed that out years ago on "60 Minutes",
but the practice continues. At any rate, if you need one of these keypads, and your
garage door opener was manufactured by Chamberlain in the last 4 or 5 years, this model
should work fine. The KLIK2U will work also.

Customer Review: As advertised, very convenient!
Summary: 5 Stars

This product was extremely easy to program (took about 5 mins, including reading the instructions), push a few buttons, push one on the opener, and BINGO, it's done! It has been great not needing the car keys to get into the garage from outside.

I can't speak to the longevity of this product, as I just got it about 1 month ago. It appears, however, that the new model only functions for a few seconds after you enter the code, which eliminates the concerns of reviewers of the old model had, that someone could come up right after they walk away and hit a button to open the door.

Final note, it is really more of an off-white/cream color. Luckily, that is what I really wanted.

Customer Review: Works fine with old Stanley opener
Summary: 5 Stars

Worked great 2nd time for me with an old Stanley opener with 10 DIP switches. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, with a nice, logical way to set your 4 number code to generate the DIP switch code. One suggestion, for 2 position DIP switches you program the KLIK2U with a string of 1's & 2's depending on the DIPs being ON/OFF. If the string of 1's & 2's doesn't work, the instructions tell you to reverse all the DIP switches and then it will work. This may be true, but it also means reprogramming any other remotes / HomeLinks you have to match the opener's new DIP settings - you can achieve the same thing by inverting the string of 1's & 2's instead and then you won't need to reprogram anything.
