Customer Review: Makes good audio extension for iPod Nano

Although this item is advertised for use with the iPhone, I am actually using it as an extension with my iPod Nano and iJet Nav remote control. With the iJet receiver plugged into the 30 pin port, it is difficult to plug in a decent set of headphones without the cable being too wide. The iJet comes with a specialized L shaped plug but it doesn't lock into place and falls out easily. This extender plugs right into the headphone jack next to the iJet receiver, locks in place, and allows me to use any headphones I want without distortion or falling out of the port. I purchased two of these since they were cheap and to have a backup in case I lost one, but despite the negative reviews I've seen about this product I haven't had a problem with either one of them.Customer Review: Iphone Headphone Adapter Works!

This product allows you to hook up any set of speakers or headphones to an Iphone. If you plug in a normal headphone or speaker jack into an Iphone, it simply won't work because the plug is wrong. Remember, your Iphone not only plays music, but has an additional contact for the microphone that allows you to talk on the phone. This same feature prevents normal jacks from working.
I have tried to use FM transmitters to play the Iphone through the car speakers, but the phone transmits RF noise along with the music to make listening an unpleasant task. This adapter gives crystal clear music through the car speakers without any RF interference. If you get a call, you have to remove the jack...an easy task and well worth it!

Can you believe I have my iPhone for 2 months, and haven't used it for listening to music? I would like to use my own headphone instead of buying extra iPod earbuds which is the only one that work with iPhone.
Fortunately, I found this item on Amazon and it allowed me using my own headphone. It is inexpensive and provides the excellent performance to connect the iphone and my headphone.
I have bought the extra one from Eforcity as a spare. It is because this adaptor is quite small and lost easily.

I love my iphone, but i'm really upset with Apple on the fact that they made the headphone port on the iphone so deep. I personally own a pair of Bose QC 3 Noise Cancelling Headphones. So you can imagine how upset i was when i found out my $350 headphones wasn't going to work. With This Though, all you'r problems are solved. It's very small & easy to use. just simply insert it & you can use any standard headphones you like. Which is really nice, because we all know how uncomfortable those horrible Apple earbuds are.Customer Review: Perfect for the task

I purchased this little device based on the price and other positive reviews. I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. It works perfectly with my larger headphones and my iPhone. The only issue, which is obvious but still worth mentioning, is that by using another pair of headphones you do lose the functionality of the iPhone headphones (play/pause, skip, answer calls, etc.) which kind of sucks. But if you hate those earbuds as much as I do, you will love this adapter, no distortion whatsoever.
