Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables Unlimited PCM-2296-06 HDMI to DVI D Cable, 6 feetCustomer Review: Al good! Summary: 5 Stars
I got a Hanns G 22'' monitor for cheap on black Friday last year. The 7600GT card on my comp has 2 DVI out, and the display has 1 HDMI and one VGA (go figure!). I have a DVI-to-VGA adapter but that defeats the purpose of having a graphic card and a big-a$$ displace. RadioShack has this under Monster brand for more than $100. They say it's coasted with 24k gold. Snatch a pair of this on Amazon, and everything works like a champ!
Customer Review: Happy Consumer Summary: 5 Stars
The cheapest way to buy cables is online. Besides, DVI to HDMI is not an easy product to look for in stores.
Pros:
-I use this to connect my old G4 Macmini to 42" Vizio. Digital signal, no need to buy expensive cables as it does the same job of expensive ones.
Cons:
-Unlike HDMI to HDMI, DVI do not carry sound. But that is not a fault of the product. It is just the way DVI is.
Customer Review: Does exactly what you'd expect it to do Summary: 5 Stars
Well, not much to say about cables... this one does exactly what you'd expect it would do. I used it to display my computer desktop (for Vista Media Center) onto a 37" LCD flat screen. DVI output on the PC to HDMI input on the TV. It produces a great picture, which is all I wanted.
You can go to Fry's and pick it up for about the same price, but it's worth it to pay shipping costs and not have to go to Fry's.
Customer Review: Dont be fooled by Retail Salesmen. Summary: 5 Stars
I wish there was some way for me to tell everyone about buying cables online. When I shopped around for cables to hook up my home theatre I was disgusted by the price retail stores such as Tweeter and Fry's were charging for this and other high end A/V cables. Some places had this conversion cable listed for $100. Its should be considered consumer fraud. But this cable works great and My Star Wars Movies never looked better!
Customer Review: Inexpensive... the way to go. Summary: 5 Stars
It really frustrates me how I can't find something like this at a Best Buy or Circuit City without paying at least 40 bucks. I'm not much of a video-phile, but this cable will get the job done and things still look incredible on my 50" Samsung DLP. I was using this to connect my non-HDMI cable box to my TV. Of course you'll still need the red and white audio cables to go along since DVI doesn't carry an audio signal.
