I recently purchased a new laptop, which has VGA and HDMI outputs. My secondary monitor is nice, but older, and does DVI-D but not HDMI. VGA is VGA, you can only get so good a picture through it, and it was a bit painful to go back to the older, fuzzier picture when I'd been using DVI-D with a desktop for quite some time.
This cable has solved my problems. Compared to the insanity of other HDMI cable prices, this was very affordable, and the HDMI to DVI-D conversion was exactly what I needed. I'm back to a sharp picture on my external monitor and very happy with it.

I used these cables to hook my Apple MacBook Pro to my television. Due to the computer's technology I also had to use AV Cable for iPod Photo/Video to connect the audio. My friends love it. They really enjoy being able to see YouTube Videos on my TV and being able to share the joys of Hulu with the whole room. The price was great, and after two years it still works. The quality of picture is amazing, if you still have your apple remote you can even control DVDs and volume.Customer Review: Works as advertised

I jumped a bit early on the HD bandwagon and got a DVI only HDTV. I only recently bought a PS3 and used the standard cable to connect games. After playing games with another user who used the HDMI connection I was wistfully thinking how I missed the chance to see the games as really meant to be. Good thing I stumbled on this Amazon link and wiki articles that said if you have DVI ports, you can use this adaptor to get the high def graphics in. The audio still had to be addressed but I used a digital line connection to get high fidelity sound. Definitely a good buy!Customer Review: PS3 to a monitor no problem!

I bought this to connect my PS3 to my monitor it works perfectly the HD looks so nice, but If you need it for what I used it for buy a Y:adapter as well with it to give audio by putting your gaming systems A/V cables in it(the original TV cables that came with the system to connect it to your TV.) and then putting the Headphone jack into the little microphone symboled plug hole on your computer or speakers.Also check if your monitor has HDCP and of course a DVI slot in the back.It arrived on time and Im happy.Customer Review: Crisp and natural

I use this cable to plug my computer into my LCD TV. The image is crystal clear and crisp and beautiful! Gaming has never been better!
Why pay over $50 for a "premium" cable when a cable is a cable? A digital signal can't get any "better" and a lot of companies who make these premium cables are flooding the market with over-expensive items that don't do anything better than their less expensive counter-parts.
Definitely a recommended buy for any setup!
