I'm using this cable, along with the 2 x RCA Male / 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable, 6 inch and a set of headphones to listen to TV at night without waking anybody. For that it works perfectly. In fact, for six and half bucks including shipping (thank you Amazon Prime) this audio extension cord is an outstanding value.
Now for the "Buts"... It is not designed to be used outside or any other demanding environment. As others have said, the cable is thin. That's bad if you need a cable that can withstand a lot of abuse. It's good if you need to wind the cable neatly every evening after you're done using it. As to the comment about the cable being susceptible to noise, I haven't heard any. Then again, I'm using it in my home which is relatively free from that kind of thing so I guess it (again) depends on where you plan on using the cable.
