Computer speaker manufacturers have started to include shorter and shorter cables with their products, not realizing that some people may have a need for a longer cable. Can't blame them...since all of us have different requirements. If you fall with in the problematic category then this CABLE is your answer. It works perfectly well and is built very well. I use it from a desktop to my desk...about 10' away and I have not noticed any issues what so ever. In-fact my iPhone used to make the speakers go crazy, but it would seem the noise has dropped a bit due to the shielding around this cable.
