Customer Review: Great for Outdoor Use

This is the 3rd speaker I purchased. I have the wireless hooked to my Sirius boombox inside the house where 1 speaker is located. I bought 2 speakers originally but had problems with one of them. It has static when hung on its side. When I set it upright, it would work fine. Rather than return it, I just lowered the sound on it. Eventually I bought a new one to replace this static speaker. I now have 2 hung under the backyard pavilion where they remain permanently hung. I moved the static speaker inside, placed upright and it works fine. I have never used batteries so I can't offer any help here. Using the remote makes it very easy. One of the things I would change is having to manually push the button on each speaker to turn them on. The remote will not turn the speakers on. I use a pole to reach the mounted ones outside. The remote works great to regulate sound & turn the speakers off. The scan feature works great on the speakers to find the best reception. Once you have each speaker set there is nothing more to do. Your sound resets to non-audible when turned off. You just have to keep pushing the up volume and it will be heard. I live in Florida where the humidity is high and have had the outside speakers for almost a year now without any problems. I get compliments on the sound every time I have a get together at the house.
