Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cables To Go Velocity Series 40315 HDMI Cable (Blue, 2 meters)Customer Review: No problem with these cables Summary: 5 Stars
I was real hesitant to purchase these cables because the price was so low. I read all the reviews by previous buyers and decided to go for it. These are used with my brand new HDTV I bought through Amazon. No problems what so ever. Compared to what everyone else is charging, these are great cables for the price. I have my DVD up-converter connected with these.
When I mentioned to my brother that I got HDMI cables for 9.95, he started freaking out...thinking I just threw $10 out the window. I told him to relax...just because they aren't $50 doesn't mean they aren't good. Once they arrived, my point was proven.
For the price, you just can't go wrong with these. For those who were like me and had no idea if you need these or not...if you have an HDTV, you need these. This is what connects your cable/satelite box, DVD player, BluRay, or game system. You no longer need RCA jacks (yellow, red, white cables). Just a little tip for those at the beginning of their research...like I was just a few weeks ago. ;-)
Customer Review: Not the toughest cables but a great price Summary: 5 Stars
These cables are a bit flimsier than the Belkin PureAV AV22300-03 3-Foot HDMI-to-HDMI Audio Video Cable that I used in my initial upgrades but they are less than half the price.
The way I see it is as long as the cables are well manufactured (these are) and you don't abuse them there is no need to over engineer them. These cables work great and cost a fraction of what retailers like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc want you to pay.
The only time I might be concerned is if the cable saw a lot of handling/use (IE: swapping gaming consoles, or dragged across a carpet whenever the console was pulled out to be played, a portable setup that is broken down a lot, etc) in which case I'd go with a heavier cable but for normal usage (where it is plugged in, dropped behind the entertainment center and never touched again these are great.
Customer Review: Who would spend more than this? Summary: 5 Stars
The first HDMI cable I bought was a Monster cable because I was skeptical that a $10 cable could be as good as a $70 cable. For that kind of price difference, there HAS TO be a benefit to Monster cables, right?
So when this cable showed up from Amazon I decided to give it a side by side test. After comparing this $10 cable with a $70 Monster cable, I found there to be no discernible difference between the two.
I have since bought 2 more of these from Amazon and am using a total of 3 of them. They have all been flawless so far and do not function any better than the outrageously expensive monster cable. If I hadn't thrown out the packaging from the Monster cable, I would return it and get a 4th one of these.
If you're a skeptic like I was, I'm telling you that there is no risk here. Save yourself a lot of money and go with these.
Customer Review: Low-cost, high-quality HDMI cable Summary: 5 Stars
What can you say about a cable? If it is a cable intended to carry high bandwith signals, you can say a lot.
Big box retailers and niche sellers are making gobs of money selling high-priced HDMI and component video cables. You can also find a lot of high-priced cables that will not carry a 1080p or 1080i signal. I found this out the hard way, but fortunately was able to get a refund.
Thus, finding a vendor of low-priced, high-quality cables like this one is a boon. This Velocity HDMI cable is an order of magnitude or two less expensive than some other brands - but it delivers the goods. I used this particular cable to hook a BluRay player to my HD TV and the quality at 1080i is absolutely stunning.
The Velocity HDMI cable, as inexpensive as it is, is simply top-notch in terms of quality.

Customer Review: The proper cable! Summary: 5 Stars
The HDMI cable ordered was exactly as described. Very happy with this, especially at this price.
Do the nessecary research before buying you HDMI cables because there are differences in these cables. The ultra cheap cables are standard, and offer standard data transfer rates. In my case, I needed the high speed (HDMI 1.3 compatible) cable, which all new hdtv's and blueray players utilize. These cables have 4-5 times more data throughput than the standard cable, which is required to take advantage of HDMI 1.3's new improved features, and therefore cost a bit more, but still much cheaper than the same type of cables you find in retail stores.
Just be aware of what you're buying!....and check the specs on this cable...it's a 1.3 high bandwidth cable! Great deal.
