Hard to get excited about the performance of an optical digital audio cable, but when it is so inexpensive on Amazon and gives the same or better quality of the $$$$ ones at the brick & mortar stores, it is something to rave about.
I also like that it is 8ft! Someone actually thought about the fact that I might not have all my components on the same shelf or in the same unit. Bravo for thinking of people with entertainment center piers that need long cables.

This premium (Toslink) cable carries the digital signals from my DVD recorders and/or my HDTV to my AR Dolby Digital wireless surround headphones with great clarity. One never has to worry about distortion or interference that can cause audible problems with an RF cable.
Highly recommended for anyone with a digital connection. Also, 8 feet is just about optimum for most systems as some are only 6 feet and do not reach from my audio tower to the main system.

It is has been said that the more expensive the price the better the value. However, this myth can easily be disproven with the great product by Cables To Go. This 8 foot optical cable (most are normally over 4-6 feet) provides outstanding quality that normally one would expect to pay a premium for. If you've seen an optical cable you've seen them all. Right? Well... yeah!
That's why the pricing on this cable makes absolute sense. With Amazon's free shipping it beats all the other offers that sell you a cable for change and then you get charged an arm and a leg for shipping. Spend $25 at Amazon and you get free shipping and then you pay for this optical cable about what it's worth.
Can't go wrong with this one because, if you get a defective one you will know immediately and, Amazon will replace it for free. If it works the first time you tried it, chances are it will last forever. I am still using one optical cable I bought more than 10 years ago.

How to review a cable? Well...the product works as described and provides a great sound through my speakers. By using this, I was able to eliminate the red/yellow/white cable from the back of my TV allowing me room to plug in other peripherals. I liked that the cable snapped into place ensuring a sure fit and I know that it is not going anywhere.
Like previous posters have written, remember to take off the plastic tips on the end, or it won't fit.
Though the item is not in a fancy package (comes in a plastic bag), it is a great product and works as well as a cable should work.
Great price and worth it if you need a digital audio cable.
