I purchased 2 of these for 2 TVs. Both worked out of the box, but one failed a week later. They were so inexpensive that they were not worth returning though. I ended up moving my system around and replaced this cable with a longer cable - "Cmple - 25ft Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable, Version 1.3, Category 2, 1080p, Mac, White Sold by: [...], Inc" on Amazon. It was a little more expensive, but worked fine, came in its own package rather than a plastic bag and seemed more substantial.
The hdmi cable that continues to work is fine and I've had good experiences with Cables-to-go in the past, so unless I was putting cables through walls (which was what I was doing), I'd still roll the dice and try their cheaper cables again.

Worked well on the first use, but failed on second use. I've read similar complaints about various manufacturers HDMI cables (even the expensive ones#, and have even seen replies to these complaints saying that people should just install them and leave them alone. I don't agree. Some applications #like mine) include connecting a laptop's HDMI port to an HDTV, in order to view photos, videos, etc... That is something that might require ongoing connections and disconnections of the HDMI cable. If manufacturers' current technologies and processes can't provide that needed durability, then they simply need to FIX that. PERIOD!
Refund process through Amazon was easy enough. Thanks for that.
