I recently bought this because I lost my original sony charger in a move. This one is so much cheaper than the ones Sony sells, but it works just the same. It took me a moment to realize that the battery needed to go in "backwards" or the opposite way it sat in my Sony charger.
It charged quickly.

Purchase the item and it worked great. The only issue I had was the way the battery had to be placed in the charger. Unlike the OEM that can with my camera you have to place the batter in the charger backwards to charge. After reading the other reviews, I ordered the CTA MR-BG1 charger. The other reviews were right !!! This charger works like a champ. If you are thinking about one of the more expensive chargers (I know I was), save your money. This little guy is fast and easy to use. Lost the original, and to buy the replacement from Sony would have costed $60.00 (in Panama). This performs the exact same function plus comes with a car adapter which the original doesn't have, and the price you can not beat, $15.00 after shipping and handling.
