I use it in my lab at work where I have no computer access. I had no idea how rich the sound would be, the bass is full, and treble is clear without being tinny. Of course, I am not comparing it to the more expensive models, but for the price I reccommend it. It comes with cables so you can play a cd player,any type of mp3 player, or even your laptop through the connection in back, or just set your ipod right on top, it has little plastic adapters for lots of ipod sizes.Customer Review: Great Product!

I think this is a great product. You can listen to your IPOD through the speakers without running down the battery. You can also use it to charge your battery. This has some good speakers - of course not great ones like surround sound, but I'm not looking for that. These speakers really suit my need so I can listen to my IPOD around the house and have something portable - both my IPOD and the speaker system. After my hubby got his Ipod I soon got tired of him shoving a earphone in my ear and exclaiming "Listen to this!". When I saw this item on Amazon I knew I had to get it for him for his birthday and for my sanity. It has proven a wise purchase. Now we both listen to what he has downloaded and I don't have to have a earphone in my ear (which I really hate!). The CTA Digital Sound Stage Speaker with Docking Station for iPod performs perfectly; so much so in fact I am buying another one for the bedroom upstairs. The sound quality is not that of a Bose yet is as good as any bedside radio/stereo I have owned. The best sound is obtained when you balance the sound from the iPod with that of the docking station. I really like this little speaker system. It is just what I was looking for. It is small, and the price is right. Sound quality is good. If you are looking for something loud, this is not for you, I basically use it so I can listen to my Ipod to go to sleep at night and it works great. Plus it charges the iPod and plugs in to the wall so you don't have to worry about batteries.
