I bought this product after reading people having success with the new Apple TVs with older televisions that don't have an HDMI input. I plugged it in, hooked it up to my older Epson projector and it works wonderfully. The only issue, which is easy for me to get over, is that I have to disconnect the audio cables and then reconnect the audio cables every time I fire up the Apple TV to get the audio to work, but my surround sound system is quite old also so that could be the problem. Other users are saying they have a problem with it cutting off the left of the screen but I don't have this problem at all and I know I can readjust my screen position in the options of the television which would take care of that. The video and audio quality is also very good.
