I bought this RAM for my 2008 aluminum 13.3" MacBook (before it was renamed MacBook Pro). I'm not a computer genius, but I can definitely point out what visible differences this upgrade made.
Going from 2gb to 4gb is a huge boost. Before, I could not run Photoshop CS4 before without it lagging, even after I turn off all other programs.
With this new RAM, in can run CS4, Firefox, Microsoft Word, Lightroom 3, and a few other programs without running into memory problems. Best $60 I have spent so far on my computer!

I didn't even power up the new MacBook Pro 13" before removing the back and popping this in. The entire bottom of the MacBook comes off (10 tiny screws around the perimeter) and exposes everything. I replaced my HDD too with a 500gb before even powering on. MacBook Pro + 4gb RAM = lots of juice.
I'm a professional computer geek and run a few different OS-es. I have VMware running Ubuntu, Fedora, and Windows Server. I can load up with this RAM and run a virtual (or 2 or 3) without even seeing the performance hit.

This made a difference on my mac, was easy to install and worth the money.
I was having problems with choppy performance while multitasking on my 13" MBP. At any point during the day I may be listening to a hulu video or [...] music, sync'ing my iphone to iTunes, sync'ing iPhoto with eye-fi service while getting some work done in an Ubuntu VM, have work mail open in safari and google reader in chrome. My Mac used to get bogged down and require shutting down some of the apps and now seems to run much more smoothly.

I ordered this Crucial RAM after doing quite a bit of research on internet. Certainly, the Apple RAM was a costly option. I checked few others like Kingston and Crossair but they were out of my budget.
I was little skeptical about installing RAM in a $1200 brand new machine, but YouTube helped a lot. With the correct screw driver, it took me exactly 7 minutes to complete the upgrade.
I have been using my mac for 3 days now after the upgrade and no freezes or crashes.

I installed this in my 13" Macbook Pro (early 2009). It was a nice upgrade. Simple to install and worked like a charm. I've noticed significant increase in speed of doing simple tasks in parallel. I went from 2 GB to 4 GB and the difference in speed was noticeable when doing multiple tasks while watching a video or some graphically intensive application. Overall I'm very much satisfied with this pair or RAM chips. I've used Crucial in the past and definitely recommend it. They never let me down on quality.
