First when I install these 2pcs 1GB memories at the same time to my laptop(HP Pavillion),
My laptop didn't recognize them, I got upset,why... and then I pulled off one pc 1GB memory and put back
one pc old memory(256MB), then laptop recognized it. After that, I switched the old memory with the other
1GB memory, restarted the computer with no problem, laptop showed 2GB RAM.
My point is when you have problem installing memory, you should try install 1pc with old memory.
In the end it worked out perfect.

Well, I have a Dell Inspiron 640m with 1024MB with Windows Vista Ultimate and works more less, when the system start, it took over 2 minutes to use the pc...
Since I installed this memories takes 20-30 seconds to use the computer, all software works very fine and quickly, i use Outook 2007, Nero 7, Adobe photoshop CS3, and vista gadgets like wheather, clock, wireless, notes, reclycle bin, calculator, football results without any problems or delayed..
Good product and of course...very cheap upgrade !!!!

If you are looking to upgrade your 512MB MacBook, this one is perfect. It matches Apple's specs for a MacBook. I installed it in a couple of minutes. I can see the difference when running memory-intensive apps like Photoshop. The only downside, and this is not Crucial's fault, is that the old 512MB is now useless. Apple recommends using both memory slots and putting same sized RAM in both, as stated in their support website.
As a side note, the white residue on the old memory is nothing to worry about.

These are working great! I recently bought this set and installed, I think it was a tad cheaper when I purchased but it was worth it. They were easy to install and my old 1GB(512x2) memory sticks fit into my other laptop as well. Good buy I say especially if you have Windows Vista, you will need all the memory you can hold. I did a little research on some other brands before I purchased this and at the time was the cheapest for the PC2 5300 type that I found with shipping costs included in my search.
