I was considering buying a new laptop before I made this quick, cheap, and easy fix. I own a Dell Inspiron 1501 (purchased in 2007) and it had been running slower and slower over the past few years. Learned that it had only 512 mb of RAM installed, but it had the ability to hold 2 GB. Found this set of Crucial for a great price, and after about 5 minutes of removing my old RAM and popping in these bad boys, my laptop runs as fast as they day I bought it! (It also didn't hurt that I defragged my hard drive and ran CCleaner). If your laptop is compatible with this set, do yourself a favor; buy them!Customer Review: Good fire power... I bought it for my wife's computer (Gateway 6823a M series) which was miserably slow. Once I got these little sticks in the slot which was a piece of cake and turned her computer on... voilå.... It ran like a derby horse. Seriously her browsing considerably improved and booting time also decreased and no more frozen computer... I would recommend the product. Just do your homework about the upgrade options (check the number of pins on the ram ) for your laptop and choose the right ram. Crucial websites can help you find the right ram for your laptop.

I ordered 2 gig for my sister's 20" iMac and 2 gig of another size memory for my bro-in-law's 17" iMac and an esd wrist strap. It got here so fast I was in shock, and all works great! Crucial also had the best prices on memory, and I searched the web for hours before deciding on them. Avoid the Apple store, it's expensive and recommended the wrong memory for the 17" iMac. Crucial's new memory checker beta worked great, too, though I only used it for kicks, I already knew what I was after. I purchased this product to upgrade the memory in my Gateway Tablet PC CX2750. My computer had shipped with Windows Vista Home Premium with 1GB of Ram. For the past few months, i've had nothing but problems with Internet Explorer crashing and Yahoo Messenger not working. I started using Sidebar to view the memory usage and noticed that it was running extremely high. Approximately 85% of my memory was in use at any given time. After Pricing the 2gig ram for my laptop and finding it expensive I decided to shop around and with a little Luck find it a ressonable price wrll here came and went ebay bestbuy priceline not to forget the Manufacture and circut city comp usa just to mention a few and all were in the same price range Then I went to where I was going to start AMAZON and they had a super item at a super deal
purchased the 2 gigs put it in the laptop with no problem fired it up and went on my way sent an email to thank Amazon and am happy to say it works great
