This works great with my 1 year old Macbook. During installation I thought I had pushed the RAM modules far enough into their slots, but after the MacBook failed to start up I took another look and found out that you really do have to push firmly and carefully past some initial resistance until the RAM goes in all the way. You may have to push harder than you think is normal, but seriously, you have to push pretty hard.
Other than that I would like to note that my macbook was only allowed a maximum of 2g of RAM so check your system.
Also the image is very deceiving it should be 2 sticks not one. I'll just upload an image so people like you won't get any more confusion!

I got two of these chipsets for use in white Macbooks. They're easy to install - just take out the battery, remove the silver cover, pop out the old ones and insert the new.
One set worked perfectly first time. The second set didn't. Having two identical chipsets and two nearly identical computers at hand, I did some swapping and determined that the second set was faulty. I ordered a replacement online from Amazon. It arrived within two days and works just fine. Amazon sent me an email to print for use as a pre-paid, bar-coded return mail label. Perfect - couldn't ask for better service. I'll assume that my faulty set was a rarity, and give them 5 stars.

I had this old Dell Inspiron Laptop for over 5 years and now it starts to get very unbearable slow for the many applications which need more memory than the 1GB capacity that it came with when I ordered this machine. After adding the extra 1GB on the laptop, now everything is running much smoother and more responsive. I think I just have a quick solution of extending the usable life of this machine for another couple years which this low costs upgrade. I highly recommend that you check on Crucial Memory upgrade when you need to add more RAM to your machine. I replaced the RAM in my Dell E1505 and had no issues. Very easy. Takes about 4 minutes to swap out. Simply remove the plastic cover on the bottom of the computer and push the two tabs outboard. The old ram will pop up ready for removal. Simply pull it out. Do this on both sides. Take the new ram and push them in the slots. Push them down and the tabs will snap into position, locking the ram in place. Turn on computer once its all back together and my XP found it right away. Select to dump memory and it will boot right up. I checked the hardware and it recognized all 2GB. I see a noticable difference in operating speed. I do not know why it took me so long to increase the speed on my Dell five-year old laptop. Even though I was ok with its 1 GB speed, I knew it would be faster with 2 GB. To find out how to install the chips, I first went to Youtube videos to get that info, it was very clear, concise and well explained. I then made sure I ordered the correct chips for my laptop, and I received the 2 chips (2 x 1GB each)a few days later. At first, the new chips did not work, until I realized I had not installed the chips firmly in their slots; I reset them again tightly this time, replaced the battery, turned on the laptop and it now works wonders.
