Hi. It is working fine. When you install it, you might want to check to see if when you pull the clamps apart to release the chip, if the newly installed chip pops up. I installed it about 3 times, because I was getting a blank screen. My chip was not popping up, when I removed it. This was because I did not push it into its slot a bit. It moved in snugly, without much force. Then when I tried removing it, it popped up as it should. So I slid it back into place, snugly, and closed the compartment again and turned on my computer and voila, I have 2gb of ram! Yay! So far, I have not noticed a huge amount of change, but hoping it will kick in when necessary.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 5 Stars
About a month ago I got 2 chips of this RAM for my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop, my laptop is SOOO much faster now that it has 4 GB of RAM (3.15 GB or something on Windows x86 but who cares, 3.15 GB>2 GB), plus it was cheap, easy to upgrade, and hasn't died on me. The price was VERY GOOD too. Now the only thing I need to do is get a new DVD drive to replace my dying one and I'm all set (I have Win7 Pro on there from MSDN and it works great!!).
Just one more thing, if you're getting this for the same laptop I have, you will get an error message from the BIOS when you install the RAM, just wait like 2 minutes and that will go away.
Customer Review: Works for Acer AOD250 Netbooks Summary: 5 Stars
This is a good deal, especially with the free 4G SD card; and it takes less than five minutes once you understand how to do it. (Do allow extra time to get the package open. I suggest a blowtorch.)
Also, Crucial has a good support site with a moderated user forum where you can get assistance pretty quickly. The Acer site also has instructions for adding memory and live chat is available if you need help. I called on both of them since I was a little scared of opening up my new computer.
My new memory was accepted without a hitch and I noticed an immediate improvement in performance.
Customer Review: It Works! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this module for my Acer 1410 w/ Windows 7, however, I didn't realize Windows 7 doesn't make use of the full 4GB (came w/ 2GB and my Home Premium is a 32-Bit OS - you need the 64-bit version to run 4GB or more) that this raises my laptop capacity to, so it was somewhat of a waste in the sense that I'm able to use more, but not quite the full 4GB. Windows 7 is utilizing about 3.3 GB of the installed ram, so I'm not unhappy. For the cost, I believe it was worthwhile. The module itself installed easily and was recognized in the BIOS right away. No problems w/ the item. Just should've done more research of my own.
Customer Review: 2GB stick for netbook from Crucial Summary: 5 Stars
Bought a new 1000HE netbook at the same time. UPS truck pulled up, I signed and took the boxes home. Popped open the 1000HE Asus, pulled the 1GB stick and inserted the 2GB stick. Easy to do. Plugged the 1000HE into AC, charged it up. Powered it up, worked like a charm. No problems at all. Make sure the stick is completely inserted BEFORE shoving it down to lock it. Why can't they come with 2GBs of RAM. Come on manufacturers, this is 2009, that stick only cost me $25. For $10 more on the 1000HE you can deliver it with 2GBs in it. Oh, wait. It might cut a half hour off the battery time, right? Ooops.
