Customer Review: Upgrades the new HP Mini 210 netbooks
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought one of the new HP Mini 210 netbooks (HP Mini 210-1080NR 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 9.75 Hours of Battery Life). This RAM upgrade was one of the recommendations from Amazon (Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought...). Rather than researching the recommendation to make sure that the 2GB module really would work inside the HP Mini 210, I just bought the memory module, figuring if it didn't work, I could just return it back to Amazon.

Turns out, this 2GB module works just fine inside my HP Mini 210 netbook. No troubles at all removing the old, 1GB module and replacing it with this 2GB module. After installation, Windows immediately recognized the full 2GB of RAM, and I got a noticeable performance bump (boot-up time to the Windows login screen went from 45-50 seconds to 35-40 seconds).

Not sure how to do the RAM upgrade on your Mini 210? Do a Google search on "how to upgrade RAM hp mini 210" to see a great video on the details of that.

Customer Review: Good upgrade for ASUS 1005HA-PU17
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this a few days ago and received it today. Amazon came through with extremely fast shipping as always. It took a total of about 5 minutes to install. Note for ASUS 1005HA users: after doing the physical install hit F2 while booting to enter BIOS, verify that installed memory reads correct (2048MB) then hit F10 and enter to OK. That is all it takes. Verify in windows after install by right clicking on My Compter and checking installed memory. Simply stuff. ***I chose this from between this and an 800 MHz. The DIMM pulled out of the 1005HA was an 800 MHz so I guess use your best judgement. Not sure what the limiting speed of the motherboard is.

I am writing this after running multiple programs at once to test the performance. I can already tell while running Office 2007 with multiple applications open it is running quicker and running smoother. Boot seemed about the same but was already very quick. I will appreciate it most when working with loaded PowerPoints on the road for work. This is a very cheap upgrade to an already great netbook.

Customer Review: Great quick memory upgrade for 10.1" Acer netbooks.
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently bought an Acer 10.1" netbook. I upgraded the Acer from 1GB to 2GB using this memory module. Thanks to the engineers at Acer they at least provided a quick door to the memory card slot. I simply swapped the 1GB module for the 2GB module and started up the Acer. Since this was its first boot it configured itself while prepping XP-Home and the other stuff on the netbook as if it always had 2GB of memory.

As for the practically brand new and never used 1GB memory card I have left over maybe in a month I'll feel daring to disassemble my Acer 8.9" netbook and upgrade it to 1.5GB. ;-)

The memory, in any case, works perfectly. That and Amazon tossed in a 4GB SDHC card for free to sweeten the deal.

I don't know what more can be said about the memory. No crashes, runs as though it was always there, system runs smooth and so forth. Just make sure you don't get all touchy-feeling with the card and make sure you're grounded. That and not making sure the card is seated in the slot properly are the main reasons why memory fails.

Customer Review: 2 gb upgrade for the 1000he
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using the 1000he for a couple of weeks now. Frankly, it's my most favorite of all computers I've owned since beginning in the '80s. It's small (but not too small) and easy to carry. Battery life is close to what they claim (I'm still playing with that but, so far, very satisfied). It's the first computer I've had that will really go out with me for the day and still have battery left when I return. The keys are just a little tight together (first thought) but I have now become accustomed to the size. I purchased the additional 2gb of memory (about $25) and popped it in before I fired it up for the first time. I'm not sure how fast it would have been with the factory installed 1gb but, for 25 bucks, 2 gb is a no brainer.

I did look at several other netbooks. By far... this is the best one currently available, in my opinion. Best $415 I ever spent.
1000he: ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 9.5 Hour Battery Life
Memory I bought and very easily installed: Crucial 2GB 667 Mhz CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory

Customer Review: Excellent - Worked Right Out of the Box
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought this for the Asus Eee 1005pr-pu17-bk. No issues whatsoever. Recognized immediately. Netbook was fast before but is flying now. Can't believe how fast it makes the netbook start up and connect to the wireless network. Can also play Farmville faster, among other things. For the price it's a good value. Have seen 2GB memory modules for $100 or more. I honestly don't see how you can go wong. Crucial-brand memory has a reputation for excellence. By the way, the "F2" key issue mentioned in other reviews is unique to Asus netbooks. Asus has a special feature in the startup process that needs to be disabled before any hardware changes (like changing memory) are made to the netwook. When the netbook is first powered on, you need to hit F2 and disable a feature ("Boot Booster") using a menu that comes up. After you disable the feature and the netbook finishes starting up, you power down the netbook completely, remove the memory from the underside of the netbook, install the new memory, power on and then hit F2 to Enable the feature again.
