Bought this for my gf laptop as an upgrade so far been working great according to her: (programs are loading faster, file access is faster, so in general it is faster, but a bit hotter than before). Used to have a single 512MB now have 2x1GB so I believe it is very normal over all since I don't think laptop RAMS have build-in heat sinks like the desktop RAM. Overall believe to be a good purchase, priced Kingston and PNY. Used both of those brand before and this is first time using Corsair but heard good things about them and have not been disappointed.
