Customer Review: Very sturdy and reliable flight simulation yoke

This CH yoke has been extremely useful. It works very well with FSX. I use a Win 7 computer and installation was just 'plug and play'. The only disadvantage I found was that the elevator trim adjusting wheel is both relatively hard to move and has very sharp indentations (from the plastic casting). After three days of play I had a blister in my thumb. I changed the configuration using other buttons for this purpose and used a file to remove those hard edges. That has been my only complain, which compared with the sturdiness and reliability of this product is a minor thing.
I consider this to be a very good product with a high benefit to cost.

I have tried out a number of different yokes for flight simulation. I run Microsoft Flight Simulator 10. CH Products Flight Sim Yoke is by far the best I ever tried out. I am a General Aviation pilot flying standard aeroplanes like Piper PA28 and Cessna 172, and the yoke succeeds in providing a realistic simulation of aileron and elevator control. This is also true for the elevator trim function.
When I installed the yoke, I had to increase the sensitivity substantially (in Microsoft Flight Simulator, Options/Controls) for both the aileron and elevator axes to achive the realistic sensitivity.
I can really recommend this product.

I was amazed how well this product worked! It's definaly is a part of the aviation family. So are all the other ch products. I love the throtle control. Before I bought this, I used a keyboard and believe me there's a really big differance!The nice thing about this yoke, is that there really isn't confusion in remembering the buttons, and switches. The hardest thing to remember is which switch is the flaps and wich switch is the landing gear. The trick to remembering is that the landing gear is on the left because landing starts with L and so does left.
I hope you'll buy this yoke and some of the other ch products!!!

I am learning to fly on a Cessna 172 and am using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 as an adjunct. I have found the simulator actually more difficult to fly than the real Cessna. The CH USB Flight Sim Yoke goes a long way towards solving this problem and making the simulator more closely mimic reality. I have not encountered problems others have mentioned such as the controls failing to neutral and the yoke being difficult to clamp to my desk. I find the trim wheel is too stiff but perhaps that is a problem unique to the particular yoke I bought. This is an amazing product. It has 5 axes of control, allowing you to fly any way you want. You can control the throttle, propeller, mixture, ailerons, and pitch all at the same time. I love the way it has a miniature throttle quadrant right on it. This product works great with other CH products, but even alone, it is phenomenal. All of the controls are customizable. I use this with Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe, and it works great, right out of the box. You don't even need to set all the controls, but if you want to, it is incredibly easy. I strongly recommend this for all flight simmers.
