Customer Review: If you're flying a sim, you need this yoke

Most of us flying are using the traditional yokes, and this is an excellent addition to any flight simulator used under that context. I had Microsoft's Sidewinder prior to this, and though I didn't want to break down and pay the extra money for a "real" flight yoke, I can say that it is absolutely worth every dime. Super easy to set up with FS2004 (and hopefully 06 when it comes out), and such realistic characteristics it's amazing. I'm currently doing IFR training, and this is proving to be quite valuable to me for shooting approaches. I'm learning procedures I can use for setting up approaches without having to burn the avgas! My investment in this will pay for itself in less training time in the aircraft, I don't know how I flew Sim so long without it. Can't wait to get the pedals, that's next!!Customer Review: Yoke

I have been using this Flight Sim Yoke since it was delivered. Couldn't wait to get it out of the box. I am interested in flying and asked other people what they thought would be a good product. Also saw this at the EAA Show in Oshkosh, WI. People were purchasing it then. I couldn't put it in my luggage as I was flying commercial so decided to buy it here at Amazon. I am very pleased with it. It is sensitive and does what it says it will do.
I was disappointed, however, that there were no set of instructions with it so I had to fly by the seat of my pants before I could get the hang of it.
Also, the two hooks that are used to brace it on the desk do not have sufficient adjustments to make it stable enough.
Overall, I do like the Yoke and would recommend it to anyone.

This yoke very closely simulates the feel and function of the controls in a small Cessna (150 or 152). For those aircraft with variable pitch props the three levers on top replicate throttle, mixture and pitch very nicely. The only trouble I've had is when I used it on a smooth-top table with the top edge rounded (about 3/4" radius). The whole yoke assymbly tended to pull loose from the table when pulling on the "wheel" to near-full deflection. I attached the yoke assymbly to a piece of plywood, then clamped the ply to the table. This worked well and is not a problem that I attribute to the yoke. For those who fly the WW2 combat flight sims, try this yoke in place of a joy stick. My dogfight kill ratio almost doubled, and aerobatics are more fun!Customer Review: ch flight yoke

its as real as it gets, as a real pilot since 1984. is works the same as in real flight
the only thing i forgot was to trim up prior to landing...
i landed on the numbers instead of the 1000 ft marker.
i would like to get the pedels, however i do not want the slide type, i perfer the real pedals push down for rudder and toe brakes, like real airplanes...
i will wait untill they make the correct types,,,(CH)..??
The megascenery usa 2005 ,for the pacfic northwest. is accurate as it can get, i quickly found my 5 acres, house ,barn, and the 1/4 mile road i built i was overwelmed by the scenery,,
it works well with 2002 ,2004 flight simulator.

After being a joystick pilot dating all the way back to FS98, I finally upgraded to the CH Products Yoke and Pedals this year. I should have done this years ago, the fun of desktop flying with these products is very much enhanced. I am a real Private Pilot and I use FSX to plan and practice all my real life flights before I go. The addition of the CH Products Yoke and Pedals has added another dimension of reality to my practice sessions, and I truly believe these sessions enhance the safety of my real flying. This product has the solid look and feel of quality hardware the minute you take it out of the box. The yoke motion is smooth and repeatable, and very natural to me.
