I questioned spending this much for a joystick. I'm glad I did. It replaced a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick that slowly died. I wanted a joystick for my new iMac primally for X-Plane and Battlefield 1942.
PROS:
It has a good solid, quality feel to it! I feel even better about paying more for it when I saw that it was made in the USA.
No drivers or special software needed for use on a Mac.
CONS:
Documentation was missing or not provided. (Online docs were puny).
No twist rudder.

I have had this stick for a month now, and I love it. It was recommended by a friend that has had his for about 4 years now. It is very well made and it feels good, however, you must have big hands because this is a big stick. The trim wheels make a huge differance playing Lockon. Since this doesn't haven't a rudder, I use 2 buttons which works pretty well. The throttle wheel sucks cause it doen't respond right away (it's usable though)

In more than twenty years of flight simming I've been happy with only two joysticks. One was the indestructable WICO bat-handle from the 1980's. This is the other one. I've used these exclusively for more than ten years with no problems. They are extremely steady, well-balanced, and tough as nails. They aren't temperamental and they don't break. I have had this joystick for a few years and tons of abuse and its always worked top quality. Only problem is software for this could be a little more user friendly. the controls feel loose and easy and the stick has physical manual calibration adjustments. I personally feel this is one of the best ever joystick I have ever owned period.Customer Review: CH products RULE

U just cant get any smother controls than A CH product!. I just wish the complete hotas setup was a bit cheaper. Cougar can't beat it. X52 Can't beat it, for smooth operation, and reliability. I still have my serial CH stuff and it still works. To bad the serial port has went the way of the Dodo.(Or not)
