I've had this radio for a year now. I enjoy this radio more that most of all the radio's I've ever owned. The strongest point regarding this radio is the broadcast AM/FM radio band reception and the battery life. I enjoy the lighted dial when tuning; which helps in low light conditions. The sound quality is great in spite of the single speaker configuration. I have yet to hook up the stereo output. (I'm afraid that might open can of worms.) The Shortwave reception is good considering my location. (There are many broadband DSL hubs in the building as well as brick walls). I've enjoyed the ease of use, slimline retro design and mostly the digital tuning accuracy.Customer Review: Good radio- GREAT value

Solid and for the most part, well-built. Excellent audio, and "D" cell batteries last forever. Some of the switches (the band switch, in particular) seems a bit flimsy- only time will tell. Only a tad less sensitive when tested on weak-signal AM vs my Grundig-S350 or GE Superradio II. The IF out is a nice touch for experimentation. Why no 5th star? No built in SSB (BTW- I found a $45 SSB adapter from Ebay for this, and the result is some of the best SSB audio that I've EVER heard!), and the navigation issues of getting from one side of the band to another. For the price, a nice radio. SSB would make it great.Customer Review: Great Reception!!

I live in a multi unit condo complex which has lots in the way of electronic noise. Needless to say, AM radio is very difficult to receive due to all the external interference. Thankfully, the CC radio has solved the problem! I am able to get crystal clear reception at any time without worrying whether my neighbors are using their electronic equipment which can create unwanted obstacles to reception. I was able to 'plug and play' pretty quickly to enjoy talk radio at its best. Lots of ablity in the way of buttons and knobs to adjust the sound quality too. The C. Crane CCRadio-SW is a solid, well-built general coverage receiver with excellent audio, sensitivity and performance. I really have nothing bad to say about this radio however, it does lack single-sideband and lacks AM synchronous detection. Excellent receiver for AM DX'ing, shortwave and FM. If this radio had single-sideband and AM synchronous detection, I would give it 5 stars.Customer Review: Good Performer/Well Designed

Purchased the C Crane, C CSW radio about a month ago after reading many positive reviews.
Very happy with AM/FM/SW performance. Good value. Looks great. Solid. Straight forward controls. Good sound quality. Very good sensitivity. I have taken camping and found it has superior battery life. Truly enjoy this product and highly reccommend.
