I'm a graduate student, so I print papers almost daily and frequently in large volumes. For the price, purchasing the high-yield cartridges is definitely a good idea. As others have mentioned, it is important to use the "black tape over the clear window" method to ensure the printer doesn't prematurely decide to declare the cartridge as empty.
