This is the first time I have had to replace the cartridge in my Brother MFC-8460N, which has, so far, proven to be the best and most reliable multi-purpose printer I have owned over the last two decades.
I am a rather diligent shopper, always looking for the best "value" (that's the place where price and quality intersect!). After checking out local sources for both new and remanufactured cartridges, and intensive research online, this was, by far, the sweetest deal anywhere.
I was able to obtain this long-life cartridge, new in the box, for only five dollars more than the prevailing Cartridge World refilled price and/or otherwise available remanufactured price. This was also 30% or more less expensive than the Big Box retail price.
A great price and very prompt shipping made this a Great Purchase!

I thought these toner cartridges were awful and overpriced. our office was going through these things like Little Debbie Swiss Roll Snack Cakes. That was until I started actually researching toner cartridges. At the current price of this cartridge, the yield is $.01 a page. Compared to the Ricoh business class printers with their toner cartridge yield of $.014, this is cheaper, and the printer is much less expensive.
These cartridges are also cheaper than the regular Brother TN550 (3,500 YLD) Standard Yield Toner Cartridge which currently have a yield of $.015 per page.

I needed a quality high-capacity toner cartridge at a fair price and fast. Local stores either did not carry, out of stock or those that did have it offered the cartridge higher in price. I searched and found 'Amazon' better in price and they offered to get it to me quickly. Ordered and was amazed how fast I received the cartridge well packaged and under the time I was expecting it to take. Excellent service, fair price, easy ordering and will use Amazon's services again. By the way, still using the high-capacity cartridge and recommend those that can use the high-capacity toner cartridge to do so since it may save you time and money.Customer Review: I stick to name brands

What can you say about a Brother TN580 toner cartridge? Not much unless you have good luck or a bad experiance with one. I'm the kind of person who can have enough problems with name brand products not performing as expected, let alone buying off breed items. Lot of people have good luck with no name after market inkjet and toner cartridges. I have not. I do photo restoration and print lots of documents in genealogy research and I don't have time to fuss with something not working right or pictures that look terrible. So, I stick with name brand and original name equipment. It may cost more at first, but still be cheaper in the long run.Customer Review: Refurbished worked great

I freaked when I received one of the refurbished cartridge from one of the vendors in the used and new vendor section. It was quite different looking from the original, but it fit just fine, the print quality is great, and it was half the price of the new one. The cartridge my Brother HL 50250DN printer came with lasted over a year (with my wife being a writer!) and this high capacity cartridge is supposed to have twice the capacity. 1/2 cent per page!
BTW the Brother HL 50250DN is a great duplex printer and i can even feed card stock through it with no problems.
