I've had this printer about three weeks and so far am very happy with it. I have had other Brother MFCs in the past and just upgraded from a Brother HL-2070N. The one thing I didn't like about the 2070N was that it curled the pages.....each and every one. This 7820N prints nicely and there's no curling. Scanning to a PC is a little slow but you can't have it all for less than $200. Copying works great and faxing as well. The bundled Brother software has some good features and isn't too annoying. All in all, I think this is about the best laser all-in-one for the price...and it looks great sitting on a shelf!Customer Review: Does everything but make breakfast

I had had it with cheapo printers. Especially the kind that say they do everything. Well I decided to buy a really good laser printer. I couldn't be happier! With an added wireless hookup I am in printing,faxing coping and scanning heaven. Granted it only does black printing, but I never saw any reason for all that added color gobbldegoop anyway. If I need to print pictures I will take them to the store. I works like a dream and FAST! WOW! It has so many functions that I haven't yet discovered them all but the ones that I have work 100% of the time w/o a glitch. I love this machine.Customer Review: Best multiprinter on the market

I did alot of research looking for the best multifunction printer for my home office. This printer has all the options I can possibly want, and then some. Setting it up on the network was a snap, the web-based interface is great to manage settings, and the scanner/fax functions are simple yet powerful enough for all my office needs. In my opinion, better then then any HP I ever used and the sofware isn't a resource hog like HP. Toner consumption and price is also very reasonable compared to others. Amazon had the best price and super fast shipping...thank you!Customer Review: Everything works

We have several PC and laptops, all connected wired/wireless to a small network.
Good:
1. Easy installation
2. Everything works, fax, scan, print, copy. Like the fax from PC feature.
3. Built in network works great, most printer servers dont work with MFC.
Bad:
3 months in light use (ony dwon about 1000 sheets), got a "toner low" warning and stopped printing. No error message from PC. Took the toner out and shake it, put it back in now working.

Fantastic solution for my new solo law practice. Haven't used the fax function as I have a standalone machine. But printing, copying, and scanning work flawlessly. It prints #10 envelopes better than my $6K HP ColorLaserjet at home i.e. doesn't crinkle the envelope. Occasionally an envelope will slip in the feed and get printed crooked. Very, very quiet. Fires up nearly instantaneously when sent a print job. Scans in great color which I use to include photos in legal exhibits. Outstanding purchase!
