I needed a replacement cartridge for my Brother printer. When I bought the printer, I read reviews that stated it was a good, reliable, reasonably priced one...all of which I was looking for for home use. The one drawback was cartridge price, but I figured I could live with that.
Amazon's price on the cartridge was $20 less then anyplace else I searched (for the same item) plus it was delivered with no charge.

I admit it: I'm a cheapie sometimes. So when I bought the "generic" toner for my Brother laser printer -- it broke the drum, just like the Brother Web said warned. And these printers are less expensive their drums, so I had to buy a new one.
This time, I got the real toner, and everything is working great so far. It wasn't *that* much more money (on Amazon, anyway) and will save a lot in the long term.

This is the second toner cartridge I have bought from Amazon and both were delivered on time and with no damage. If you need this type of item, get it from Amazon. They are hard to find in the big box stores and the free shipping makes the purchase easy (no traffic, no annoying clerks, saves driving around trying to find the item too). By the way, I bought the printer originally from Amazon also.

I cannot actually rate the cartridge itself because I have not yet inserted it into my all-in-one machine. However, I can rate the service from Amazon and the Supplier as easy and very fast. Additionally, the price was fantastic....$30 less than if I had gone to the local office supply store. I will definitely order this way in the future! This is a toner cartridge for my Brother HL2040. Yes, these printers are cheap, and, yes, the toner cartridges are cheap, but they both contain great value. The printouts are crisp, and the printer and its accessories always work well and reliably. Best of all, the drivers are not bundled with 200 Mb of useless software, as the drivers for other manufacturers are.
