Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Brother Black Toner Cartridge (TN-350)Customer Review: Necessary Supply; Replacement Can be Delayed Summary: 5 Stars
I had this rushed a few weeks ago because my HL-2070N kept refusing to operate every ~20 pages due to a low toner error. However, unlike on most laser printers, the print quality was still perfect at this point -- no streaking or blank spots. The problem is that the printer senses that it is nearing the end of the cartridge and refuses to continue, even with toner remaining.
Based on some web searching, it seems that the sensor is based on shining light into a ~1/4" hole on the side that goes through the entire length of the cartridge. Covering this hole with black electrician's tape has let me print a few hundred more pages, with no problems so far and still no sign that the toner is running out.
So, it's good to have a spare on hand, but it hasn't yet been necessary to install it.
Customer Review: Don't Buy from Anywhere Else Summary: 5 Stars
This is the first and only laser printer I have ever dealt with, so I can't compare this toner cartridge to others as far as quality and ease of use goes. The toner was easy to install and it works perfectly. I can, however, comment on Amazon's service in selling and delivering this product. Some reviews I read on Amazon stated that what they received was an imitation Brother cartridge and not the pictured name brand product. When I received my order, I was happy to see that I did in fact receive Brother toner in the pictured box. I had recently been to a certain office supply chain and saw that this particular item was selling for over 50% more than Amazon's price. Of course prices will vary, but I will be using Amazon for all of my future toner needs.
Customer Review: Best price on geniune new Brother cartridge from any source. Summary: 5 Stars
BIG NOTE - Reviewers who state this is not a genuine new Brother brand cartridge are purchasing from one of the 'other' vendors (listed on the top right of the page). PURCHASE DIRECT THROUGH AMAZON to guarantee receipt of geniune new Brother product.
Months ago, after checking prices for replacement toner on our work MFC, on a whim I thought I'd check Amazon, and was very happily surprised to find the same cartridge for $20 less than any other seller!
Fast, free shipping, Amazon customer service, and C. MACPHAIL's masking tape trick is icing on the cake.
We have since purchased this through Amazon 5 times in the past 6 months, we've always received a genuine new Brother cartridge.
Customer Review: Its a Toner Cartridge - YEAH!!! Summary: 5 Stars
The original toner cartridge that came with my Brother MFC laser printer ran out - I ordered this one from Amazon for much cheaper than I could get one from a brick and mortar (with free shipping - I would have spent 4 bucks in gas using my Truck to get this).
Cartridge is easy to install and works great. Also note: If this the first time to replace the cartridge for your machine - you do not need to buy a new drum - that will probably be on the 4th cartridge - or in my case a decade from now... My printer is for home use (Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts, School projects for the kids, Church Stuff etc... so we do use it more than homes w/o kids - but not nearly as much as a business).
Customer Review: TN 350 "Sold by Amazon" Summary: 5 Stars
I have read that some folks did not get the OEM (Brother Tn350....the Real McCoy) . I DID. Brother TN 350 in the Brother Box , sealed...new. There is a FREE Fed x shipping label to ship your old, used toner. If you buy from Amazon (sold and shipped from Amazon) and ever have an issue, Amazon will take care of it. I have always found Amazon to be more than fair. If you buy from a seller who mis-states or misrepresents a product I believe Amazon will stand behind you, the purchaser. The TN 350 toner was easy to install. Do use a large sheet of paper as toner is bound to get on things. And, I did do the "tape the hole/plastic viewer for more life and it works. Helps the budget.
