Having just about given up on the idea of an easy to use iPod adapter for the car, I ordered the TuneBase with low expectations, but I can now say that I've found the perfect solution. It is awesome.
When I first plugged it in I must admit I was disappointed with the high level of interference, dropping out signals, etc., but once I reread the manual and saw that I could adjust the output volume, it changed everything. With the volume on the TuneBase at max, the background noise is now truly in the backgroud, and it sounds great.
It also seemed to help when I swithched to a radio frequency higher in the band rather than the 88's and 89's I had been using. Not sure if there's any logic to that but it seems to work better for me here in the SF Bay Area.
All in all a pretty great product, with really good sound.
