Customer Review: A great band
Summary: 3 Stars

A great band but you can't adjust volume or select songs. I don't know if you can with any of them.

Customer Review: click wheel access
Summary: 3 Stars

I had to cut a hole in the holder to access the click wheel. Now I like it much better!

Customer Review: Try something else
Summary: 2 Stars

When my iPod Shuffle finally died I looked to replace it with another but the new Shuffle has the volume control on the cord which would not work for me. I ended up ordering a 16GB Nano 4G. I typically run four days a week and two to three of those will be with music. I originally ordered the Belkin armband and although it had some nice features, the top loading design allowed sweat from the upper arm to flow right into it and even simple humidity would let moisture accumulate. Did a long run and there was actually condensation forming inside the screen of my new iPod. Additionally, it seemed to be constructed with lighter, materials.

I purchased the Incase armband case and the neoprene is thicker. Although the exterior was wet after running 20 miles, the iPod was completely dry. It also loads from the bottom which concerned me at first because I was worried about the player sliding out but the elastic as well as the tension when strapped to the arm held it in securely. The only other opening is a small hole at the top for access to the hold switch. I'm 5'11, 175 pounds and I had no problem fitting this around my bicep. I'm a runner though, not a bodybuilder so if you have truly huge arms, this may not work

Belkin
Pros: Lighter weight, one slot for storing excess headphone cord and one on the inside surface for a cash or small key (you will not be able to fit any car key that has electronic components but a house key will fit).
Cons: The top loading design does not keep the player dry. The plastic over the face of the click wheel is too thick for adjusting the volume.

Incase
Pros: Thicker material to protect the iPod. the plastic is thinner and even while running I can adjust the volume.
Cons: The hole for the hold switch is not necessary and could potentially let water enter if it begins to rain. For the average amount of sweat though it does fine. The strap is oriented to the front of your arm if worn on the left side. Since I'm right handed this is how I wear it which leaves the excess strap on the inside of the arm which could be distracting. Nothing major though. My biggest complaint is the price. At almost $30, it's way more than the $12 I paid for the belkin. For the peace of mind of not worrying about moisture, it is worth it.

Customer Review: Immerses iPod in sweat, cant use controls
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this at Target the other day and have used it twice. Once to workout on the elliptical at the Y, and the other time this morning to run. First, whether or not you are a heavy sweater, it seems impossible to operate the controls of the nano while in the jacket. You can push the buttons ok, but to swipe for a selection or to change volume is virtually impossible. However, I am a heavy sweater, and when I got back from my run this morning the inside of the jacket where the iPod was was literally filled with perspiration. I'm amazed the iPod still works. This thing goes back tonite.
If you don't sweat profusely, and can live without having to operate the controls of the iPod, then I suppose this sportsband is ok as far as comfort and construction. But for me its useless.

Customer Review: Great quality, too small for my arms!
Summary: 2 Stars

I want to like this armband. It's high quality, it seems like it would be comfortable, but it will not fit over my arm. I'm not too big a guy, I've been lifting weights for a while, but I feel like an armband for using an iPod while working out should be fitted for people in shape, not scrawny whelps. They need a larger diameter size for fitter people - or to accurately advertise it for ultra skinny people only.
