Several months ago I began to experience pain and discomfort in my wrist, presumably as a result of my job requiring long hours in front of the computer. I had used a simple, flat mouse-pad for years so I thought I'd give this one a shot. Turns our the extra padding for the wrist has made an enormous difference. I've been pain/discomfort-free since I made this purchase about a month and a half ago. Very comfortable and does not impede use of the mouse. Alright this mousepad is awsome! the top is this super soft silk like texture and the bottom is nice gripping rubber, I guarentee you will like it.
If you are a gamer try to use some pad under your wrist and see if you can play right with it. At first it may be hard to do FPS games with it.
No more pain! The gel is soooo nice. MY wrist feels very relaxed when on it.
just buy it and stop reading about it---Its good!

This is the first gel pad I've tried and its been the best mouse/wrist pad I've had. I had several stiff rubbery pads with similiar wrist supports but the gel in this one works so much better than those did. I have to agree the gel is not very yielding or form fitting but I think I prefer it this way. It is not hard at all but neither is it like the gel in an ice pak at room temperature which is more akin to water.

This item is exactly what I hoped it would be! Very comfortable on bone in the heel of my hand and works well with infra-red mouse.( I had previously returned a mouse pad to the local office supply store because it would not track with my Mac mouse). This item is available in stores, but Amazon makes shopping so easy! I have had the Belkin wave rest for more than 5 years and it is a 5 start product through and through. I love the cushion level, the size and the tracking with my optical mouse.
This reduces strain on my wrist noticeably and I would recommend shoppers consider getting one for work if they spend many hours in front of a computer.
