Customer Review: Been using it for years and still works

I've been using this mouse pad for well over 3 years and it's still great. Mine has a hole in the material, and some of the sewing came off the gell area, and it has all kidns of liquid/food stains but i'm unwilling to toss it out. Bought it a long time ago because as a kid I did alot of gaming resulting in calluses on my wrist that was becoming disturbing and would get yelled at from my mother.
This not only did the trick as it lifts my wrist off the table but the gel is very comfortable and has allowed my wrist to heal. At first the positioning for your hand may feel odd but you'll quickly get use to it.
It's a great product and fairly cheap. If you're looking for a mouse pad for your wrist to comfortably sit on, this would be a great choice.
I'm sure any mouse pad with the gel material would work but as this being my first, and it being great, I never got the chance to buy/need another

I bought this pad when I left for college in fall of 2005 because I needed a solid wrist rest, and it saw daily use of at least several hours up until now (Oct. of 2010). It is almost 5 years later and I'm still using this pad. The only noticeable change is that the wrist wrest is now comfortably worn and fitted to my hand, and the pad surface material itself has been literally worn down to the material under the surface over the course of those 5 years. This does not affect play in any noticeable way, however.
Pros: Cheap, effective, durable (5 years and counting)
Cons: Absolutely none
You really couldn't ask for a better mousepad. The only reason I'm even considering getting another is because mine is just so old at this point. It still works great, though. I will be buying another of this exact pad.

This is a GREAT mouse pad!! I have one at home that I've been using for probably 7 years... I like it so much that I bought one to take to work with me and use as well! I'm probably due for a new one at home... I never really thought about it until recently, but I do find that it slides around a bit on my wooden desk after daily use. I don't think the newer one at work does at all... mine's probably just work out a bit, but it's also worn in! The gel is a lot softer than the newer pad I'm using at work... very very nice for your wrist!! Shop around a littel bit... I think I bought mine from an individual seller instead of the retail price and it was a lot cheaper! Even at $12 or 13 or whatever Amazon has it listed for, it's still totally worth the money in the long run!!Customer Review: Getting my Ergonomics on Mouse Style

I ordered this ergonomic mouse pad after experiencing wrist pain from working at the computer at work. Being a geek, I am in front of a computer while not at work so I wanted something to prevent pain from occurring at home as well. I am very impressed with this product. The wrist pad is very comfortable; which I didn't expect at first because the gel is very firm. Also the surface of the mouse pad portion works very well with optical mice (a big concern of mine, since I abandoned using mouse pads when I switched to optical mice and noticed that the mouse pads destroyed the performance of the mouse). The pad itself is very stable, it doesn't slide around on the desk. I've had several of these, which I bought over 5 years ago that I use at both work and home. Being a software developer, I use it 8 hours a day at work. They are worn out and I needed replacements. I was a bit hesitant to buy one after reading some of the reviews that described the subtle changes to the material and problems with optical mice.
I will report that yes, the surface material has changed slightly. I can also report that I've had NO problems with either of my optical mice. One is a Logitech MX400 Laser Mouse and the other one is a standard Dell optical mouse (red LED under it).
Therefore, I will be ordering more.
