I had been looking all over for an affordable new printer for my laptop... the one I was most impressed with was a PIXMA MP240, by Canon, sold at Best Buy. Where I would have been told to purchase a $40 USB cable to support the thing ! The printer alone was $69, with a 6 month warranty.
I called Canon for more information on both printers. I was told the MP480 was the better deal....AND IT CERTAINLY WAS ! I got it for $69, free shipping plus a $7 (Canon approved) USB cord, that also came with free shipping ! Both these deals came thru Amazon !
So far, I'm pleased with it's performance ! And the 1 YEAR WARRANTY !

matter of fact, there is nothing much to go wrong with any USB cable. There is no 'fidelity' of signals and such applicable here, unlike the audio-video cables. I bought this cable to connect my printer to my PC. All I had to do was connect one end to the PC and the other to the printer - no manuals to read or nothing. If you have a USB printer (any brand/make should work), just go for this. This is almost the same price most local stores sell 3-foot cables for. 10 ft is good enough for just about any computer desks (most people get away with just 3 or 6ft. Just measure your set up though before you order).

I've bought Belkin products before and I have to say they are in the top ten list of companys to do business with in my opinion. I needed a longer cable to move my printer to a different location on our computer hutch here in the bedroom office. Ten feet turned out to be exactly the distance I needed with some slack left over. I now have a shorter spare cable to use for whatever else comes up in the future. Not much else to say. Either a cable works or it doesn't. It's 50/50 but more so these days things are good right out of the box. Belkin works for me. I hope you give them a place in your computer life too.Customer Review: USB 2.0 Device Cable review

This is an excellent piece of equipment. I recommend the brand name Belkin for most pieces of computer equipment and accessories. All the ones that I have used over the past 3 years all work excellently. I haven't had any problems with them at all. This Belkin Pro Series USB 2.0 Device Cable definitely lives up to my expectations of the Belkin brand. It is great especially if you have to connect two pieces of computer equipment that are distant from each other. Thanks Belkin for doing a great job in creating excellent products. When I first saw the price of this Belkin USB cable I thought there must be some mistake. USB 2.0, 10ft., and made by Belkin? For under $5 each?! NO WAY! But it was true. These cables are super fast, affordable and reliable. I have actually returned and bought multiple cables for friends, family and even work. You cannot go wrong here; when you purchase a device that needs a USB cable (i.e. printer or something) the stores try to get you to buy one for over $20! Why purchase it then when you can buy four of them for the same price? Buy 5 and get free ship!!
