Just bought our second of these power strips, they're fantastic. The strip has 2 always-on outlets, so I can turn everything in the entertainment center on and off, leaving the cable box plugged into the always-on outlets so that the DVR can continue to records shows. Our second strip keeps our wireless router and network storage drive powered, while switching the TV/VCR/DVD in that room.
When we bought our second strip, I learned that they all operate on the same frequency by default - so when we turned off the strip upstairs, everything downstairs would turn off too. Fortunately, there's a little panel on both the remote and the strip that allows you to have each strip operating on it's own frequency.

I recently purchased two of the Belkin Conserve Energy Saving Surge Strips. One controls my media center: TV, Receiver, DVD, VCR, & Roku box. I have had no problems with the operation of the devices. I have my DISH DVR plugged into the "always on" socket so that it operates normally as well.
My second surge strip is attached to my computer, external HD, computer digital sound system, DHL modem, and router. I prefer all of these to be switched off when not in use. Again I have had no problems with the operation of these devices.
These surge protectors provide a easy way to prevent the waste of electricity from devices that are supposed to be OFF and not draining power.

I purchased this remote power strip to replace a Leviton Anywhere Switch that was that was unreliable. The Belkin Conserve strip works great and makes it easy for me to turn off/on a bunch of devices at one time.
I've been using this switch about 6 times a day for 2 months and it works the same as it did the first day I used it. It works every time I press the button.
You do need to hold the switch all the way down for a moment to get it to toggle. This is intended operation and I'm not sure why Belkin didn't design it to work more like a traditional switch. I can understand why some might be annoyed by this, but it doesn't take long to get used to it.

After getting tired of crawling behind my nightstand to shut on and off the power strip my computer is plugged into I looked at this powerstrip and decided to give it a try. I have my monitor, printer, computer and speakers plugged into the plugs that can be shut off and plugged my lamp into one of the "always on" plugs. I mounted the remote on my computer stand. This thing works GREAT!!!! I think it works so great I bought another one to use in the living room and have the TV, Blu Ray player, sound bar and compact stereo plugged into the plugs that can be shut off. I changed the frequency on the strip and remote before setting it up. Easy to set up and works great!Customer Review: Excellent, easy energy saver that really works!

I needed a new surge protector and I know that alot of electronics have the "vampire effect", drawing electricity when they aren't even on. This product is great because it's the surge protector I needed and also has this cool ON/OFF switch to keep the vampires OFF. Two of the plug-ins are always on which is great for my Tivo so it can keep recording thing while the rest (tv, dvd, wii) are all OFF. Turns on and off with a mountable wireless switch (no wiring req'd). I turn off the lights before work and same with my belkin switch, mounted next to the light switch. Very cool and very easy. This is energy conservation that I can easily participate in.
