Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin Anti-Static Wrist Band with Adjustable GroundingCustomer Review: I guess it works Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of those prevention products that you can't really measure how it works unless you have electro-statically fried some RAM while using it. That has never happened (even when i am not wearing one) so why not give it full marks? It looks really professional but the cord might be about 3 inches too shortas i realise that i might stretch it close to its limit at times. That is not enough for me to subtract a full star though for all i had to do was reposition it closer to where i'm working. Good thing to have if you ever heard any horror stories about electrostatic damages.
Customer Review: Works great! Summary: 5 Stars
The Anti-static strap is a necessity for any guru computer user who opens up the comp. case often. Static can damage components, so you either have to touch the case every minute or so, or take the clip portion of the static band and hook it to the case. It fits quite comfortably around the wrist and it's cord expands to about double it's original size, and the wrist strap and the cord disconnect with a snap. Overall, it's a good investment, considering the price is significantly less then the components you might damage.
Customer Review: A Wrist Strap that does it's job Summary: 5 Stars
Not much to say on this wrist strap: it's got an adjustable velcro strap to accomodate all wrist sizes, and the ground cord is connected to the wrist strap with a snap-on button, that should separate should you suddenly rise up and away from your computer. The coiled cord should give more than enough slack, but it can't hurt you or your products to include that little feature.
My only wish is that this was included in Belkin's 10pc Kit: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004Z5VS/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img
Customer Review: It works and it fits Summary: 5 Stars
For anyone complaining about the band being too small, I am a large man and my wrist fits just fine in it with no discomfort. notice i said large not fat. this thing can handle about 9 inches in circumference. its not difficult to work with and it only gets in the way a little....sometimes. it hasnt fallen apart, i havent had any issues with it whatsoever. if u are scared of damaging your equipment with esd then buy some latex gloves and an esd mat as well.
Customer Review: Perfect for anyone working on electronics Summary: 5 Stars
This wristband has been a mainstay in computer electronics for many years. If you want to protect your electronic devices, then this is the band for you. It's easy to attach. Durable and works well in a fluid environment. The dangers of static electricity on electronic components require you to use a wrist band and this is a quality band to use!
