bought two because I thought I'd have to do a audio in and out, but remembered HDMI does a digital signal so it's fine. removed the plastic caps and it fit snuggly into the tv and the surround sound receiver. I'm so glad to have 5.1 audio again. I had been using the basic RCA's and this is so much better. don't listen to the people who said they bought a ton and it didn't even fit. belkin has been great in audio for quite a while.Customer Review: good product

So far works great. Using it to hook up z5500e's to a tv and needed this optical cable to get digital out. Only using those speakers for the tv until I make up my mind on what computer I'd like to put together. So far the cable works good, I've never had anything go wrong with any optical cable. I like how the ends are capped and the caps are attached to the cable themselves so you don't have to look around for them.Customer Review: Works for less money

This cable works great. I have it hooked up between my DVD player and receiver. The digital audio is great. I've detached and re-attached the cable to other devices and haven't had any damage issues to the cable. I'm sure coaxial has the same audio quality. Just pick your cable based on what is available in your application and price. I bought this because it was cheaper than coaxial at the time.

This is a very good product and has worked well for me. Belkin is an industry leader and this product is a good example of their fine quality. I would recommend this product to others. Just remember when you install this cable that you need to orient the "plug" properly to fit in the jack. You will have to turn it until it fits in correctly. So take care when you insert the cable into the jack.
