Over many years i've owned a few game pads and even a few N52s. My last N52's dpad was starting to get squeaky and the wheel was starting to have some problems. So I decided to upgrade to the N52TE, which I really like the new feel of it. The dpad feels better, the buttons feel better with less depression needed to register a key press, the mouse wheel operates better, and the button above the dpad seems easier to press (the n52's button seemed harder to click).
Outside of that my only gripe is the software which I havn't had much time to play with yet, but I preferred the N52 software over the N52TE software. I'm also not sure that the auto profile switching seems to be working correctly, but as I said I havn't spent much time trouble shooting it.
If you are looking for a gamepad this thing is the way to go, I recommend them to my friends all the time. If it's WoW, FPS, or really any game at all I use this puppy and I would never go back to a keyboard use for gaming ever again.

This gamepad is the only usable one in its product field buying this one from amazon will make number 2 the old one held up for over 2 years of consant mmo abuse, cig ashes, spilled sodas and hairy cats . Never mind why i broke the old one but i dont think it was any fault of belkine. This has hard to use software that is glitchy and outdated and restarting without unpluging it is not possible, the thumb stuff is almost as bad untill you realise pinky finger switchstates work wonders .Bottom line is this is the only thing going if you are hellbent on a keypad for game use it does come at a price in the form of time spent becoming comfortable with a few rough spots .[...] did a writeup (not the revew)on making the switch and it is again, not to be undertaken without a bit of commitment.Customer Review: i do not see the reason for all the grief

Let's get the "con" out of the way. Belkin installed a star going nova to light up the keybank indicator. Like Fry's Chevy Nova, it lights up the sky. Still shines through two layers of electrical tape!
I set my WoW key bindings to the default settings on the speed pad. Played around in a green area. Got the feel for the pad, tweaked key bindings and then moved on to a yellow area. Killed mobs with ease, didn't have to focus so much on moving the mouse over the right spell or worry about cursor moving off my spam button. So I moved onto an orange area, no problem. This n52te is Awesome. My game did improve in a few hours. I don't get why all the fan boys of the n52 are hating so much, QQ.
Yes, a bit pricey but, W gave me $600 to blow.

The Belkin is so versatile I can hardly believe it. I play a lot of real time stratagy games where speed is of an essence, and I play a lot of different games. This is where the Belkin stands out; you can set it up to switch setups when the game opens. You just program it how you like for each game and after that you start which ever game you want a presto your keys are correct. Theres nothing like kicking back and having almost every possible key combo I need right at my fingertips. No more taking your right hand off the mouse to help hit a multiple key combo; just program a macro by recording the exact keystrokes you need then assign it to a key, BINGO. I am recommending this to all my fellow gamers and to anyone who reads this review you will not be disappointed!Customer Review: A must have for any competitive gamer.

The Belkin N52te Speed pad is a must have for any competitive gamer. I use it exclusively for Player VS Player combat in WoW (World of Warcraft) and I can tell you that having an entire keyboard at the fingertips of one hand calls for a faster reaction time which is everything in any game that requires fast paced reflexes. This device has made me a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. The hardest thing is getting used to the device as it requires ALOT of practice. I think I was adept at using it after a full day of playing. As far as setting it up, the N52 comes with its own software which is very detail specific in setting the keybinds. I strongly recommend the Belkin N52te to any competitive gamer.
