Got this for my Dell Latitude E4200 that has 1 USB port. With this, I can plug in my mouse and my Toshiba or Western digital USB drives. As others have said, if your device requires power, this is not what you want. This device has a short cable, but that's a plus to me as it makes it pack smaller. Great value for the money.
One thing I did notice is that if I have 2 USB harddrives attached thru the hub, I got errors accessing one of the drives. It's as if the operating system can't figure out which one the data is coming from. Did not do any reasearch yet to determine if this is an error, normal, or something I'm doing wrong.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend who was sick of only having 3 USB ports on his laptop, and then having so much extra to unplug when he needed to take the thing to class. He absolutely loves this hub. Now, he only needs to plug the hub directly into the computer and the hub can take care of the mouse, external hard drive, etc. The square design was an amazing idea because you are guaranteed to be able to plug 4 USB things into it, no matter the size. My hub has all the ports so close together that I can usually only plug in two items instead of four. This hub is a great buy!Customer Review: Great product for the price!

I was looking for a simple hub for my laptop. As it's not my primary computer I did not want to spend a lot of money. I was surprised to find this hub on Amazon for under $10. This is a great product for the price. Works great. I've had no issues and everything I've plugged in has worked well. Also bought my daughter one for her laptop. She is at college. She keeps all her USB accessories plugged into the hub, which allows her to just unplug the hub from the laptop (rather than removing 4 or more separate USB's) to pack up her computer for portability. This device is extremely useful for those who own a laptop computer or have a system lacking in usb ports. It is self-powered and works great for quadrupling the number of available ports.
I personally use it for my mobile external hard drive (for backups), mp3 player, printer, and usb thumb drives. So far, after a month of persistent use it has worked to my satisfaction!
This is a product that I can definitely stand behind.

This little thing is very handy for laptops that don't have a lot of USB ports and you have a lot of technology, like a printer, camera, flash drive,mouse ect. Which most everyone does. It works great for me and I even have one or two USB ports left over for anything else. It is also in a good price range for someone who would need something like this for work or school. Over all, I would give it a well earned 5 stars. My only complaint is that the cord that connects it to the computer is not as long as I would like for it to lay flat on the desk. But you sometimes you can't be too picky.
